Systems, devices, and methods of the present application relate to the diagnostic measurement of condition for pressure ulcers. Preferred embodiments utilize pressure measurements at body locations to determine a diagnostic pressure ulcer value. A pressure sensor device generates patient pressure data that is processed by a data processor which utilizes a diagnostic function to determine the diagnostic value that indicates whether corrective action is needed to prevent pressure ulcer formation. One or more sensor devices can be attached to a patient to measure to transmit data for further processing.

Systems and methods for prevention of pressure ulcers

Embodiments that do not include a metal ground plane and/or a metal patch are disclosed.

A physiologic data acquisition system includes an analog input, a sigma-delta front end signal conditioning circuit adapted to subtract out DC and low frequency interfering signals from and amplify the analog input before analog to digital conversion. The system can be programmed to acquire a selected physiologic signal, e.g., a physiologic signal characteristic of or originating from a particular biological tissue. The physiologic data acquisition system may include a network interface modulating a plurality of subcarriers with respective portions of an acquired physiologic signal. A receiver coupled to the network interface can receive physiologic data from, and send control signals and provide power to the physiologic data acquisition system over a single pair of wires. The network interface can modulate an RF carrier with the plurality of modulated subcarriers and transmit the resulting signal to the receiver across a wireless network. An integrated circuit may include the physiologic data acquisition system. Also included are methods for acquiring physiologic data comprising the step of selectively controlling an acquisition circuit to acquire the physiologic signal.

Multi-channel electrophysiologic signal data acquisition system on an integrated circuit

A calibratable analog-to-digital converter system with a split analog-to-digital converter architecture including N Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs) each configured to convert the same analog input signal into a digital signal. Calibration logic is responsive to the digital signals output by the N ADCs and is configured to calibrate each of the ADCs based on the digital signals output by each ADC.

Calibratable analog-to-digital converter system

A programmable error amplifier (PEA) that may be used as part of a voltage regulation subsystem to control the output of a digitally programmable voltage source is disclosed. According to various embodiments, the PEA comprises an amplification circuit, an analog voltage sampling circuit and a digital reference voltage sampling circuit. The amplification circuit may employ a negative feedback configuration, and include an amplifier and a plurality of feedback capacitors. The analog voltage sampling circuit is responsive to an analog input voltage (such as the output of the programmable voltage source) and is coupled to the amplification circuit. During a first operational phase (the sampling phase), the analog voltage sampling circuit stores a charge dependent upon the analog input voltage, and during a second operational phase (the conversion phase), the analog voltage sampling circuit transfers the charge to the feedback capacitors of the amplification circuit. The digital reference voltage sampling circuit is responsive to a digital programming word and also is coupled to the amplification circuit. During the first (sampling) phase, the digital reference voltage sampling circuit stores a charge dependent upon the digital programming word, and during the second (conversion) phase transfers the charge to the feedback capacitors of the amplification circuit. A differential voltage based on the difference between the analog voltage and a reference voltage determined by the digital programming word appears across the input terminals of the amplifier.

Programmable error amplifier for sensing voltage error in the feedback path of digitially programmable voltage sources

An innovative multi-dimensional, low frequency, impedance measurement probe array, measurement system, and method are disclosed for detecting flaws in conductive articles. The device and method provide for contacting a conductive article with an multi-probe array of current and voltage probes, injecting current sequentially through a plurality of current probe pairs and measuring absolute or relative voltages with a plurality of voltage probes and voltage probe pairs across the surface of an article for each current flow condition. The device and method further provide for constructing a voltage profile across the surface of an article where disruptions in the voltage profile enable detection of the presence, location and orientation of flaws for flaw sizes as low as 20 um. The innovative probe array and method provide for rapidly detecting cracks, inclusions, defects and other flaws in conductive articles and can be adapted and deployed as either a two-dimensional, planar array or three-dimensional shaped array for a variety of sample configurations and surfaces. By utilizing a plurality of current and voltage probes in an array format, the device and method overcomes existing limitations of conventional linear probes and traditional methods by enabling flaw detection over larger areas in a single probe placement while achieving a high degree of sensitivity and precision in determining flaw location and orientation.

Multi-probe impedance measurement system and method for detection of flaws in conductive articles

Low jitter ring oscillators are disclosed. The oscillators obtain their low jitter through the use of gates (100) and interpolators (160) having time delays of superior stability. The stability is obtained with decoupling networks (140) and delay replica generators (222) that isolate power supply noise from critical circuit parameters.
