A fuel tank assembly includes a securement structure that may be secured to a fuel tank. The securement structure may stabilize the lower regions of a draw tube and a return tube positioned within the fuel tank such that movement and vibration of the draw and return tubes is reduced during motion of the vehicle to which the fuel tank is secured.

Tube support assembly

Pin layouts for HSIO require a large number of pins due to isolation requirements. Differential signaling can be used in high speed transmission and reception. A single lane for operation at 6 to 8 Gbps speed typically a total of six to eight pins. At higher speeds, conventional technique to meet isolation requirements is to increase the number of ground pins per lane. With many lanes, the number of pins can become cumbersome. To address such issues, it is proposed to provide pin patterns that leverage differential cancellation to enhance signal isolation so that operation speed can increase while also reducing the number of pins so that the number of pins of a package is less cumbersome.

Optimized pin pattern for high speed input/output

A multi-use fuel tank flange assembly facilitates the attachment and removal of multiple components thereto, such as a draw and return tube assembly, a fuel filler neck, and a cover plate. Each of these components may be removed from the flange without damage to the component, the flange or the fuel tank. Multiple flanges may be used on a single fuel tank to allow multiple components to be secured to the single fuel tank.

A servicable draw and return tube assembly for use in fuel tanks is disclosed. The assembly may include a draw tube and a return tube secured to a plate, wherein the plate may be removably secured to a flange, which is fixedly secured to a fuel tank. The process of removably securing the plate to the flange allows for use of different sizes and materials to be utilized in manufacture of the assembly, thereby saving installation time and manufacturing costs.

The present invention provides a fuel cap including a body and a spring positioned on the body that inhibits unintended removal of the cap from a fuel filler neck, the spring secured on the cap by a cam pin that is used to secure the cap on the cam ramp of a fuel filler neck.

The present invention provides a fuel cap including a body and a seal positioned on the body, the cap adapted for engaging a filler tube opening, and the seal positioned on the cap body such that the seal sealingly engages an inner diameter surface of a fuel filler neck to seal the cap to the fuel filler neck.

An anti-siphon assembly includes a siphon tube having a first end region adapted for securement to the inner surface of a fuel filler neck and a second end region adapted to be positioned in a fuel tank for allowing fuel to flow there through into said tank. The assembly includes a locking ring which secures, in an off axis manner, the first end region of the siphon tube within the fuel filler neck with the use of specialized installation tool.

An improved thermal relief vent for a fuel tank, and a method of manufacturing the same, includes a thermal relief ring that is used to create a mechanical seal within the vent. The thermal relief ring, at room temperature, is crimped in place by use of the vent cap itself. The crimped thermal relief ring creates a mechanical seal between the vent and the vent cap, up until a predetermined thermal relief point, at which time the thermal relief ring will soften and/or yield and release the vent cap from the vent body.
