The useful life--i.e., emulsion stability and weight loss control--of aqueous air freshener composition can be enhanced via the use therein of small amounts of certain inorganic metal salts.

Air freshener composition

A novel air freshener composition and a combination product which uses same in an a device which has an emanator are described. The composition employs a combination of reagents which inhibit its evaporation so that the useful life of the air freshener is significantly lengthened.

Air freshener composition and device

A furniture polish composition characterized by an internal aqueous phase and an external oil phase, the composition containing an ethoxylated montan acid wax in an amount of from 0.5 to 5% by weight, which constituent functions both as an emulsifier and as the wax. Also included in the composition is from 10 to 50% hydrocarbon solvent; from 0 to 15% polysiloxane, and water. A coemulsifier may be included at low levels, less than 0.5% by weight, the weight ratio of the ester to the emulsifier being greater than 1:1.

Polish emulsion compositions

An aqueous alkaline thickened low ammonia hair bleaching composition containing hydrogen peroxide, activator, water-soluble surfactant thickener and water-insoluble surfactant thickener; the ammonium ion concentration of said composition being in the range of from about 0.15% to about 0.55% based on the total weight of the composition and the ratio of water-soluble surfactant thickener to water-insoluble surfactant thickener being in the ratio of about 1.8 to about 7.0.

Low ammonia bleach compositions

A process for treating hair to reduce its critical surface tension and/or coefficient of friction by applying to said hair a composition comprising a fluoropolymer containing as monomers at least: ##STR1## wherein n is a number of about 7 to 11 inclusive; and ##STR2## in which n' is a number of about 2 to 4 inclusive and R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are lower alkyl, preferably having 1-4 carbon atoms or its N-oxides or salts.
