Certain substituted benzylamino heterocyclic and heteroaryl derivatives have provided unexpected insecticidal and acaricidal activity. These compounds are represented by formula (I): wherein R, R1, R2, R3, and R4 are fully described herein. In addition, compositions comprising an insecticidally effective amount of at least one compound of formula (I), and optionally, an effective amount of at least one of an additional compound, with at least one insecticidally compatible carrier are also disclosed; along with methods of controlling insects comprising applying said compositions to a locus where insects are present or are expected to be present. 

Insecticidal substituted benzylamino heterocyclic and heteroaryl derivatives

Certain substituted amino heterocyclic and heteroaryl derivatives have provided unexpected insecticidal and acaricidal activity. These compounds are represented by formula (I): wherein R, R, R, R, R, A, B and Q are fully described herein. In addition, compositions comprising an insecticidally effective amount of at least one compound of formula I, and optionally, an effective amount of at least one of an additional compound, with at least one insecticidally compatible carrier are also disclosed; along with methods of controlling insects comprising applying said compositions to a locus where insects are present or are expected to be present. 

Insecticidal substituted amino heterocyclic and heteroaryl derivatives

It has now been found that certain novel heterocyclic derivitives have provided unexpected insecticidal activity. These compounds are represented by formula (I): R Preferred are those compounds of formula (I) where Rand R3 taken together is &#x2550;NCH(R)CH(R)N(R)&#x2014;, &#x2550;NC(R6)&#x2550;C(R7)N(R8)&#x2014;, or &#x2550;CHN&#x2550;C(R)N(R)&#x2014;, and tautomers thereof, and where Rand Rtaken together is &#x2014;C(R11)&#x2550;C(R12)C(R13)&#x2550;C(R14) 1 12, -, where R,R,R6, R7, R8, RI1, R R13, R14, and X are described. In addition, compositions comprising an insecticidally effective amount of at least one compound of formula (I), and optionally, an effective amount of at least one of a second compound with at least one insecticidally compatable carrier are also disclosed; along with methods of controlling insects comprising applying said compositions to a locus where insects are present or are expected to be present. 

Pesticidal heterocycles

It has now been found that certain novel heterocyclic derivatives have provided unexpected insecticidal activity. The present invention relates to a method for controlling domestic pests using 2-chloro-N-[{(4'-chloro-2-methoxy[1,1'-biphenyl]4-yl)amino}carbonyl]benzam ide. The benzamide is particularly effective against termites and is suitable for use in baits.

Method for controlling termites

A compound having the formula: ##STR1## wherein W, X, Y, and Z are as defined in the specification is useful for making 2,4-diaminoquinazolines.

2-cyano-1-aminobenzene compounds

An insecticidal composition comprising, in admixture with an agriculturally acceptable carrier, an insecticidally effective amount of a 2,4-diaminoquinazoline compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.6, R.sup.7, W, X, Y, and Z are as defined herein; methods of using the same; novel 2,4-diaminoquinazolines per se; and intermediates in the preparation thereof.

Insecticidal substituted-2,4-diaminoquinazolines

The present application discloses herbicidal substituted-phenyl-1,2,4-Triazol-5(1H)-thiones and -ones, herbicidal compositions containing these compounds, methods of preparing them, and methods for controlling undesired plant growth by preemergence and/or postemergence application of the herbicidal compositions to the locus where control is desired. Intermediates for preparation of the benzoylsulfonamides are also disclosed.
