The invention relates to a particularly redundant electrical machine () for driving a means of propulsion () with increased reliability. The machine () comprises a plurality of independent partial rotors () which are respectively coupled to a common shaft () by means of freewheel devices () in order to drive said shaft and the means of propulsion () therewith in a working direction of rotation. The machine () also comprises a plurality of independent stator winding systems (), a stator winding system () and a partial rotor () being respectively associated with each other and arranged in such a way that they can electromagnetically interact with each other. The stator winding systems () are successively arranged in the axial direction. Similarly, the partial rotors () are successively arranged in the axial direction.

The invention relates to a method for providing predefined desired drive characteristics () in an aircraft, characterized by the following steps: &#x2014;driving a thrust generation element of the aircraft by means of an electric motor that has actual drive characteristics () which include at least some of the desired drive characteristics () but are also partly different therefrom; and&#x2014;having a control device adjust operating points of the electric motor exclusively according to the desired drive characteristics ().

Method for providing predefined drive characteristics in an aircraft, and associated drive device

The aim of the invention is to provide pivoting and rotary drives for electric machines with low number of parts economically. Said aim is achieved, by means of a secondary part () of circular or arched design. The primary part of the drive has at least two straight primary part segments (), arranged at a predefined angle to each other in the longitudinal direction thereof to correspond to the shape of the secondary part (). A pivoting or rotary drive can thus be economically produced with standard linear motor components.

The invention relates to an electrical machine () or its use as a wind power generator and a wind power installation having this electrical machine. The electrical machine has a primary part () and a secondary part (), wherein a disc-like primary part () and a disc-like secondary part () are provided for forming a disc-shaped air gap, or wherein the electrical machine () has a cylindrical primary part () and a cylindrical secondary part () for forming a cylindrical air gap, wherein a primary part, which can be used for a linear motor, is also used for forming the cylindrical primary part ().

Electrical machine, in particular a generator

The aim of the invention is to better adapt the power range of a linear motor to specific applications. For this purpose, the secondary part () is subdivided into at least one first () and one second section () in the direction of travel () of the primary part (). The secondary part (), in the first section (), has a different shape than in the second section () and/or is produced from a different material. In this manner, different speeds of the primary part () can be achieved on the traveled distance independent of the actuation of the primary part. Optionally, cage windings can be inserted in a section of the secondary part so that said secondary part can be used for passive breaking.

Linear motor with differently configured secondary part sections

The aim of the invention is the equipping of a synchronous linear motor with a non-permanently-magnetic secondary part with a simple positional measuring system. Said aim is achieved, whereby the tooth structure of the toothed rack-shaped non-permanently-magnetic secondary part (S) varies with position in the direction of movement (B). Furthermore, the synchronous linear motor can be provided with absolute and incremental positional measuring systems, such that the coarse resolution of the absolute measuring system can be supplemented by the fine resolution of the incremental system.
