A process capturing COfrom a CO-containing gas stream, contacting a CO-containing gas stream with a CO-absorbing agent in an absorption step in a vessel with maximum temperature Tresulting in absorption of CO. The COabsorbing agent comprising a polymer dissolved in an aqueous medium, the polymer, a thermoresponsive copolymer, comprising amine monomer distributed through the copolymer, subjecting the CO-containing absorbing agent to a desorption step in a vessel with maximum temperature T, releasing CO, wherein Tis below LCST of the thermoresponsive polymer at maximum COloading, and Tis above LCST of the thermoresponsive polymer at minimum COloading. COabsorbing agent comprises amine component dissolved in the aqueous medium. Use of the specific polymer dissolved in an aqueous medium at T, wherein amine monomer, distributed through the copolymer with an amine component, improves net COsorption and high absorption speed, allowing a relatively small absorption reactor.

Process for capturing CO2 from a CO2-containing gas stream using a thermoresponsive copolymer

The present invention relates to a process for separating a charged species from an aqueous system, wherein the process comprises the following steps: (a) a first aqueous system comprising the charged species is contacted at a first temperature with an ampholytic polymeric 5 system comprising cationic and anionic domains, wherein the charged species is bonded to the ampholytic polymeric system; and (b) the ampholytic polymeric system is contacted with a second aqueous system at a second temperature, wherein the charged species is released to the second aqueous system, wherein the second temperature is higher than the first temperature and wherein the second temperature is higher than the first temperature and wherein the second 10 temperature is less than 60&#xb0; C.

The present invention relates to a method of preparing particles of a defined size and morphology, using a reaction of reactants, wherein the reaction is carried out in the presence of rotational forces and wherein the reactants are separated from each other by means of a contactor. The present method is suitable for preparing articles having a particle size from 10-2000 nm.
