A soft magnetic alloy comprising 2 wt %≤Co≤30 wt %, 0.3 wt %≤V≤5.0 wt % and iron is provided. The soft magnetic alloy has a area proportion of a {}<uvw> texture of no more than 13%, preferably no more than 6%, including grains with a tilt of up to +/−10°, or preferably of up to +/−15°, when compared to the nominal crystal orientation.

Soft magnetic alloy and method for producing a soft magnetic alloy

A sensor comprises a magnetic field source, at least one flux conducting soft magnetic element with at least one air gap and at least one magnetic field sensor located in the air gap and measuring a change of the magnetic field of the magnetic field source. The flux conducting soft magnetic element consists of 35% by weight&#x2266;Ni&#x2266;50% by weight, 0% by weight&#x2266;Co&#x2266;2% by weight, 0% by weight&#x2266;Mn&#x2266;1.0% by weight, 0% by weight&#x2266;Si&#x2266;0.5% by weight and 0.5% by weight&#x2266;Cr&#x2266;8% by weight and/or 0.5% by weight&#x2266;Mo&#x2266;8% by weight, wherein (Mo+Cr)&#x2266;8, rest iron and unavoidable impurities.

Low hysteresis sensor

A high-strength, soft-magnetic iron-cobalt-vanadium alloy selection is proposed, consisting of 35.0&#x2266;Co&#x2266;55.0% by weight, 0.75&#x2266;V&#x2266;2.5% by weight, O&#x2266;Ta+2&#xd7;Nb&#x2266;0.8% by weight, 0.3&#x3c;Zr&#x2266;1.5% by weight, remainder Fe and melting-related and/or incidental impurities. This zirconium-containing alloy selection has excellent mechanical properties, in particular a very high yield strength, high inductances and particularly low coercive forces. It is eminently suitable for use as a material for magnetic bearings used in the aircraft industry.

High-strength, soft-magnetic iron-cobalt-vanadium alloy

A superconductive composite member comprises a core of oxide ceramic superconducting material that is disposed in a metal envelope comprising a silver alloy which is hardenable by an oxide dispersion. Preferably, the silver alloy is an alloy of Ag--Mg--Ni, Ag--Mn--Ni or Ag--Al alloy which may also include one or more precious metal elements selected from a group consisting of Ru, Rh, Pd, Os, Ir, Pd and Au. The composite member is formed by introducing the superconductive material into the silver alloy envelope, cross section-reducing the assembly of the envelope and core and, subsequently, thermal treatment for the recovery and setting of the oxygen concentration.

Oxide ceramic superconductive composite member and method for manufacture

A superconductive composite member, which has a core composed of an oxide ceramic material which is surrounded by an envelope, has an increased core density in order to achieve a higher critical current density. The increased core density is obtained during a hot-shaping step of the core material in the envelope, wherein the composite is heated to a temperature wherein the superconductor material is present in either a molten or a partially molten state.
