The invention relates to a securing device (), which has a front hood () and a hood lock () with a lock holder (), for a motor vehicle. The hood lock () has a rotary latch () with a pre-latching position and a main latching position in which the front hood () is closed and locked, an electric drive () which switches the rotary latch () from the main latching position into the pre-latching position, and a bayonet-type closure system () with a closed position, a release position, and an intermediate position. In the closed position, the rotary latch () is located in the main latching position; in the intermediate position, the rotary latch () is located in the pre-latching position and the lock holder () is engaged with the rotary latch (); and in the release position, the lock holder () is released by the rotary latch () and the front hood () is unlocked.

Securing device with a front hood and a bayonet-type closure system

A safety device for a motor vehicle includes a bonnet with an open and closed position, a bonnet lock with a lock retainer and a rotary latch, and an electric drive which shifts the rotary latch from a main locking position into a preliminary locking position. The lock retainer has an actuator, wherein in a first position of the actuator and in the preliminary locking position of the rotary latch, the lock retainer engages with the rotary latch and the bonnet is locked, and in a second position of the actuator, the lock retainer is released by the rotary latch and the bonnet is unlocked. Motor vehicle door closure

A latch for a motor-vehicle door comprises a housing, a door bolt engageable in and separable from the housing, a pivotal lock fork in the housing engageable around the bolt, and a release lever operatively coupled to the lock fork. Inside and outside latching elements respectively accessible and actuatable from inside and outside the door can each displace a common latching lever pivotal in the housing between a latched position and an unlatched position. Inside and outside locking elements respectively accessible and actuatable from inside and outside the door can similarly displace a common locking lever pivotal in the housing between a locked and an unlocked position. A coupling element connected to the locking lever is displaceable thereby between coupling and uncoupling positions respectively corresponding to the unlocked and locked positions of the locking lever. The coupling element is connected between the latching lever and the release lever only in the coupling position for displacement of the release lever into the freeing position only on displacement of the common latching lever into the unlatched position. A coupling is operatively engaged between the inside latching element and the inside locking element for shifting the latter into the unlocking position on actuation of the former. Thus actuation of the inside latching element with the latch locked unlocks the latch such that subsequent actuation of the inside latching element unlocks the door.

Motor-vehicle door latch

A motor-vehicle door latch for use on a vehicle door having a handle and a locking element has a housing, a latch fork pivotal on the housing and engageable in a locking position with a door bolt to retain same and lock the door, an operating lever pivoted on the housing and connected to the handle, a locking lever pivoted on the housing and connected to the respective locking element, and an actuating lever operatively engageable with the fork to release same from the locking position. A link coupled to the locking lever is displaceable thereby between a position coupling the operating lever to the actuating lever for displacement of the fork out of the locking position by actuation of the operating lever and a position decoupling the operating lever from the actuating lever. Thus in the decoupling position actuation of the operating lever will not unlock the door. A central actuator in the latch can displace an antitheft lever into an antitheft position thereof and mechanism between the antitheft lever and the link decouples the locking lever from the actuating lever in the antitheft position of the antitheft lever so that the antitheft position actuation of the inside lever will not be able to release the fork.

Motor-vehicle door with antitheft override

A motor-vehicle door latch for use on a vehicle door having inside and outside handles and inside and outside locking elements has a first housing part that contains a latch fork engageable in a locking position with a door bolt to retain same and lock the door, a lock pawl engageable in a retaining position with the fork to retain same in the locking position, an outside operating lever connected to the outside handle, an outside locking lever connected to the outside locking element, and an unlocking lever connected to the outside locking lever and operable to unlock the door. A second housing part contains an inside operating lever connected to the inside handle, an inside locking lever connected to the inside locking element, a coupling device pivoted coaxially with the inside locking lever and having one arm connected to the unlocking lever of the first housing part and another arm, and a central actuating unit. This unit includes an actuator, a spindle, a nut on the spindle displaceable between an unlock, a lock, and an antitheft position, and a slide displaceable jointly with the nut between the lock and unlock positions and connected to the other arm of the coupling device. An antitheft coupling is engageable between the nut, the coupling device, and the inside locking lever for coupling the inside locking lever to the coupling device and therethrough to the unlocking lever in the lock and unlock positions of the nut and for decoupling the inside locking lever from the coupling device in the antitheft position of the nut.

Power-actuated motor-vehicle door latch with antitheft feature

A motor-vehicle door latch for use on a vehicle door having inside and outside handles and inside and outside locking elements has a housing, a latch fork pivotal on the housing and engageable in a locking position with a door bolt to retain same and lock the door, inside and outside operating levers pivoted on the housing and connected to the respective handles, and inside and outside locking levers pivoted on the housing and connected to the respective locking elements. An actuating lever operatively engageable with the fork can release same from the locking position and a link coupled to the locking levers is displaceable thereby between a position coupling the outside operating lever to the actuating lever for displacement of the fork out of the locking position by actuation of the outside operating lever and a position decoupling the outside operating lever from the actuating lever. Thus in the decoupling position actuation of the outside operating lever will not unlock the door. A central actuating unit has motor whose spindle carrier a nut that can move an antitheft lever into an antitheft position. Mechanism connected between the antitheft lever, the inside levers, and the link decouples the inside levers from the actuating lever in the antitheft position of the antitheft lever. Thus in the antitheft position actuation of the inside operating lever will not be able to release the fork and actuation of the inside locking lever will not unlock the door.

Motor-vehicle door latch with antitheft override

A standard motor-vehicle door latch includes a latch housing adapted to be secured to a motor-vehicle door adjacent an edge thereof that is substantially only exposed when the door is open, an opening lever adapted to be coupled to an inside door handle and pivoted on the housing, and door opening mechanism on the housing actuatable by the lever to unlatch the door. A child-safety cutout comprises a shaft pivotal in the housing between a freeing position and a locking position and having an outer end exposed through the housing at the door edge and an inner end and an element on the inner end operatively engageable with the opening lever for preventing actuation of the door-opening mechanism by the opening lever in the locking position and for permitting such actuation in the freeing position.
