A power tool, which includes a receiving device having at least one receiving element and a power supply unit connectable to the power tool, for example a rechargeable battery, which includes a connecting device, the connecting device having at least one contact element, the receiving device being designed to receive and hold the connecting device, so that the at least one receiving element and the at least one contact element are connectable to each other for establishing an electrical connection. A damping element is provided on at least one contact element, whereby the at least one contact element is movable in a first direction and a second direction as well as relative to the particular receiving element, so that it is possible to counteract a relative movement between the contact element and the particular receiving element when the contact element and the receiving element are connected to each other.

Spring contact on a rechargeable battery

A power tool includes a receiving device having at least one first and second power consumption element. A power supply unit connectable to the power tool includes a connecting device having at least one first and second power output element, the receiving device being designed to receive and hold the connecting device, so that the power consumption elements and the power output elements are connectable. Both the first and second power consumption elements have a positive pole as well as a negative pole, and both the first and second power output elements have a positive pole as well as a negative pole. The positive pole of the first power consumption element and the positive pole of the second power consumption element as well as the negative pole of the first power consumption element and the negative pole of the second power consumption element are positioned at a distance from each other in at least one first and second direction.

Plug-in coupling for a battery unit

An adapter apparatus for connecting a rechargeable battery to a power tool, containing a latching device for latching the adapter apparatus together with the power tool; and a locking device for locking the latching device is disclosed. The latching device is adjustable reversibly from a first position into a second position, wherein, in the first position, the adapter apparatus is firmly connected to the power tool and, in the second position, the adapter apparatus is detachable from the power tool, and the locking device is adjustable reversibly from a first position into a second position, wherein, in the first position, the locking device locks the latching device in the first position and, in the second position, the locking device does not lock the latching device and so the latching device is movable from the first position into the second position.
