Electromotive furniture drive for displacing parts of a piece of furniture relative to one another. The drive includes a drive element that can linearly move along a linear motion axis. This drive is provided for pivoting a pivotal element, which can pivot about a pivot axis and which, when the furniture drive is in a mounted position, is actively connected to a part of the piece of furniture to be displaced. An element may be provided that, during the displacing motion, maintains the engagement between the drive and the pivotal element at a point P that is essentially fixed along the linear motion axis. The furniture drive can be easily and economically produced and has a sturdy design.

The invention relates to an adjusting device () for beds, mattresses, armchairs and the like, which comprises support elements () that extend at an angle to the adjusting direction (A), especially on both sides, and that form together a plane of support (A), and at least one drive device () for modifying the inclination of the plane of support, said drive device comprising at least one pivotable raising lever (). In order to provide an adjusting device that is simple in design, at least one pivotable raising lever () is combined with a plurality of bar members (A-G) that can be pivoted relative one another so that the general raising movement is combined with the ergonomic detail movement.

Modular system for assembling a motorized adjustable support apparatus for the upholstery of a piece of furniture for one of sitting and lying includes a first support element including a first longitudinal rail assembly, and a second support element including a second longitudinal rail assembly. The first and second longitudinal rail assemblies are detachably connected by a connecting element to form a base of the support apparatus, in use. The assembled adjustable support apparatus includes the two support elements adjustable relative to one another for supporting the upholstery. A connecting shaft is provided for transmitting the rotation of a first pivot shaft connected to the first rail assembly to a third pivot shaft connected to the second rail assembly. Ends of the connecting shaft are detachably insertable into recesses defined in the first and third pivot shafts, and are securable against rotation.

Motor adjustable support device for the upholstery of a seat and/or of reclining furniture, especially suited for a bed mattress, including a base body having rails, and one adjustable support element adjustable relative to the base body. An adjusting device for the adjustment of the support device relative to the base body may be provided. One of the rails may be hollow or open on one side for receiving part of the adjusting device. The one adjustable element can be adjusted between a first adjustment position and a second adjustment position and that interacts with the support element, and that is received in the first adjustment position in a rail, or as viewed in a side view, for example, within the bounds of the rail, and that protrudes in the second adjustment position over the rail toward the support side.

Motor adjustable support device for the upholstery of a seat and/or reclining furniture

An electromotive drive mechanism for a piece of furniture, includes a gearmotor having a rotor rotating about a rotational axis, an adjusting spindle for operation of a piece of furniture, and a gear unit connecting the spindle to the rotor of the gearmotor for rotating the spindle about a rotational axis, with the rotational axis of the rotor extending parallel and at a distance to the rotational axis of the spindle. The gear unit includes a nut placed on the spindle for movement in longitudinal direction of the spindle when the spindle rotates, and a first pair of helical gears which are in mesh with one another for reducing the output speed of the gearmotor as transmitted to the spindle.

Electromotive drive mechanism for a piece of furniture

A flat lifting device includes an outer and an inner hollow section rail with closed cross section and with a substantially greater width than a thickness. One of the section rails is acted upon by a drive unit having a linearly moveable drive member for shifting the one section rail relative to the other section rail. Opposing surfaces of the outer and inner section rails are preferably provided with meshing profiles which extend in moving direction of the slideable section rail.

Flat lifting device

A lifting device for swiveling a part of a piece of furniture includes a scissor jack attached to the part being swiveled and operated by a drive unit having a spindle and a gear motor which is connected to the scissor jack and runs along the spindle. Incorporated in the drive unit is a safety mechanism for stopping a movement of the scissor jack upon occurrence of a blockage. The safety mechanism includes a pair of disks rotatable about the spindle and engaging each other via a complementary tooth gearing provided about the perimeter of each disk. One disk is stationary and the other disk is a spring-loaded disk which is displaceable in axial direction relative to the one disk. In this manner, the disks can be disengaged upon blockage during downward movement of the scissor jack to disconnect the gear motor from its output element and to prevent a further movement of the scissor jack.
