A design screen and at least one detection device with an image capturing device and a carrier medium are provided in an external lighting device for a motor vehicle. The carrier medium is a flat waveguide on which a coupling region and a decoupling region are provided. The carrier medium is adapted to the surface shape of the design screen. The coupling region and the decoupling region are each a holographic element. Light incident on the external lighting device from the surroundings is coupled into the carrier medium via the coupling region, is transported to the decoupling region by internal reflection in the waveguide, and is decoupled at the decoupling region. The image capturing device detects the decoupled light and provides image data which correlates to the detected light.

External lighting device for a motor vehicle

A spectrometry device includes a carrier medium, or waveguide, for transmitting light by internal reflection, and a transceiver device that has at least one light source and a detection device. A transceiver deflection structure couples at least the light emitted by the light source into the carrier medium. A measurement deflection structure, arranged at a distance from the transceiver deflection structure, decouples the light out of the carrier medium onto a measuring surface of the carrier medium so that the biological tissue can reflect the light back to the carrier medium. The reflected light is transmitted back onto the detection device via the measurement deflection structure, the carrier medium and the transceiver deflection structure. The detection device determines an intensity signal of the reflected light which is used by an analysis device to determine a pulse frequency signal and/or a pulse curve signal as a medical characteristic value.

A detection device provides a voice signal of a person and includes a light source, a first planar carrier medium, a second planar carrier medium, a sensor device, and an evaluation device. The first planar carrier medium includes an input coupling region and an output coupling region. The second planar carrier medium includes a light input coupling region and a light output coupling region. Light from the light source is emitted into the second planar carrier medium and output in the direction of a front neck region of the person, and the light reflected on the neck region is input into the first planar carrier medium and output out of the first planar carrier medium. The output light is detected by the sensor device which provides sensor data to the evaluation device which converts the sensor data into vibrational data and provides the voice signal.

A camera apparatus records only those objects in a surround which are situated in a predetermined object plane at a distance from the camera apparatus. To this end, the camera apparatus includes an illumination device for illuminating the desired object with an illumination light and an image capture device (for capturing the illumination light reflected by the object. For recording that is dependent on the object plane, the camera apparatus additionally comprises a control device for driving the illumination device to provide the illumination light in the form of light pulses and for controlling the image capture device to capture the reflected illumination light within recording intervals assigned to the light pulses. To avoid interference effects on a resultant image representation, provision is additionally made for a deflection unit for deflecting the respective illumination light between the surround and the illumination device and the image capture device.

Cost-effective, spatially representative image data is recording in a stereoscopic or photogrammetric image of an environment by a camera apparatus having three holographic-optical elements arranged as coupling regions at different positions on a carrier medium to capture the environment from different perspectives. Light from the environment is coupled by the coupling regions into the carrier medium which provides a light guide that transfers the light to an additional holographic-optical element which provides a decoupling region to decouple the light from the carrier medium. An image capture device captures the decoupled light and produces image data therefrom. A separating device produces the spatially representative image data from the image data by capturing the light incident on the coupling regions in a manner separated temporally or by color.

A 3D printing apparatus includes a synthetic resin bath for a photosensitive synthetic resin and a lifting apparatus. The photosensitive synthetic resin at the lifting apparatus is polymerizable by light of a specified wavelength. The 3D printing apparatus further includes a carrier medium having a coupling-in region and a coupling-out region, and an illumination apparatus to emit light onto the coupling-in region. The coupling-in region includes a coupling-in deflection structure to couple light of the specified wavelength incident on the coupling-in deflection structure from the illumination apparatus, into the carrier medium in a direction of the coupling-out region, and the coupling-out region is disposed below the synthetic resin bath and includes a coupling-out deflection structure configured to couple the light of the specified wavelength that is incident on the coupling-out deflection structure, as an exposure pattern, out of the carrier medium onto the photosensitive synthetic resin.

An apparatus for color-dependent detection of image contents includes a light input coupling apparatus, carrier medium, measuring region, output coupling region, and camera apparatus. The light input coupling apparatus includes a light source to emit light at a first wavelength. The carrier medium receives the light and transmits the light by internal reflection to the measuring region. The measuring region includes a first diffraction structure that outputs light at the first wavelength. The first diffraction structure is formed as a multiplex diffraction structure to input light in a second wavelength range. The output coupling region includes a second diffraction structure formed as a multiplex diffraction structure that outputs light at the first wavelength and the second wavelength range. The camera apparatus captures light output from the carrier medium to the camera apparatus, and provides the light in a form of image data which correlates with the light.
