A method for producing x-ray markers. During the process, a predetermined breaking point is severed in order to detach x-ray markers from part of a material layer. There is also described an x-ray marker, a medical implant, and a semifinished product.

X-ray markers for scaffolds

The present invention relates to an implant, in particular an intraluminal endoprothesis, comprising a body containing a metallic material, and comprising at least one functional element that is fastened to the body and has a material composition in at least a portion of its volume that differs from the material of the body, the material composition preferably including radio-opaque and/or x-ray opaque material. To effectively prevent accelerated degradation due to the formation of a local cell of the material of the body and the functional element, the at least one functional element includes a first layer at least in the region of its surface where it is bonded to the body, the first layer primarily containing at least one metal oxide. Furthermore, the manufacture of an implant of this type is described.

Implant and method for manufacturing same

A marker composite for medical implants composed of a biocorrodible metallic material and a medical implant comprising an X-ray marker which was made of the marker composite. The marker composite contains a large number of particles composed of a radio-opaque metal, which are embedded in an electrically non-conductive polymer. The particles have an additional electrically non-conductive coating.

An endoprosthesis, in particular an intraluminal endoprosthesis, for example a stent, having a base body composed at least partially of a metallic material, and having a functional element which is attached to the base body or imbedded therein and which contains material that is radiopaque and/or X-ray opaque and has a different material composition, at least in a portion of its volume, compared to the material of the base body. To avoid contact corrosion and undesired corrosion, the functional element is provided with a barrier layer which electrically insulates the radiopaque and/or X-ray opaque material from the base body.
