The present disclosure relates to charging energy stores, for example for charging electrical vehicle batteries. Various embodiments may include methods for controlling charging operations. For example a method for controlling charging operations of a plurality of electric vehicles may include: analyzing a data record including arrival times, departure times, and charging energies of the plurality of electric vehicles during a first time period; determining an upper limit for charging power based on the data record, the determined upper limit for charging power defined by an amount of power required to charge each electric vehicle between its respective arrival time and departure time; and charging the electric vehicles without exceeding the determined upper limit for charging power during a second time period following the first time period.

A two-channel magnetic resonance tomography system is provided with a regulation circuit for an amplification system in order to be able to take into account different load situations of the MRI system in a flexible and efficient manner. It is thus possible to improve the MRI measurements greatly if the MRI system is set to the respective load situation beforehand by an idle state measurement. The adaptation may optionally also be carried out during the MRI measurement. The first side of the DC/DC converter is connected to a third electric switch and can be connected to an energy storing device via said switch. An endoscopy system has an endo-robot that is navigable within an anatomical lumen of a patient by interacting with a magnetic field generated by an extracorporeal magnet system. The patient lies on a patient bed that is movable in one or more directions and/or orientations, and an obstacle detects objects in the movement path of the endo-robot in the anatomical lumen and produces a signal that causes the position and/or orientation of the patient bed to be altered dependent thereon.

A magnetically guided endoscopy capsule is separated from the surface of water with the aim of immersing the capsule completely in water, using the least possible magnetic force. A brief force curve (F_mag(t)) is thereby automatically generated on the capsule by a solenoid system, by one or more force pulses. Assuming that the capsule floats on the water surface at the start of the force curve, a force curve is applied generating an odd number of force pulses having a step profile. Each odd force pulse brings about at least a partial immersion of the endoscopy capsule in the liquid, and each even force pulse bring about at least a partial emersion of the endoscopy capsule out of the liquid.

A coil system for the contactless magnetic navigation of a magnetic body in a work space, has a plurality of coils and a current controller for controlling the respective currents in the plurality of coils. In order to navigate the magnetic body to a variably predeterminable position in the work space, the current controller is designed such that the currents in the plurality of coils are such that the magnetic forces generated by the currents and acting upon the magnetic body at multiple positions at the edge of a convex environment around the predetermined position are directed into the environment. The coil system has the advantage that a movement of the magnetic body toward a spatial position is achieved without any mechanical movement of the coil system and without a positioning system for determining the position of the magnetic body. The coil system is utilized particularly in a medical device, wherein a magnetic body in the form of a probe is moved in the body of a patient. In this way, fast navigation of the probe in the patient's body can be achieved without mechanical movements of the patient table or of the coil system.

Capsule medical apparatus guidance system

A coil system for the contact-free magnetic navigation of a magnetic body with a magnetic dipole moment in a working chamber, a number of coils and a current control unit for controlling the respective currents in the multiple coils. The current control unit generates a force on the magnetic body in a predefined direction by setting the currents in the multiple coils so that the direction of the force generated by the currents on the magnetic body at each position among a number of positions in a volume in the working chamber essentially corresponds to the predefined direction of force. This coil system has the advantage that the position of the magnetic body in the working chamber does not need to be known exactly in order to move the body in a desired direction or to align the body in a desired orientation direction. This coil system suitable for use in a medical device and by special preference in a device for capsule endoscopy. In this situation, the magnetic body is a capsule that can be navigated in the body of a patient and has an imaging system for capturing images of the internal organs of the patient and a transmit module for sending the captured images to a receiver.

An endoscopy capsule contains an induction coil that is elongated along a longitudinal axis thereof, the endoscopy coil supplying power to components within the endoscopy capsule. A magnetic element in the endoscopy capsule has a magnetic dipole moment and interacts with an external magnetic field to navigate the endoscopy capsule within the body of a subject. The magnetic element is oriented so that the magnetic dipole element is aligned perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the induction coil. The endoscopy capsule has a cross-sectional area, in a plane having a normal aligned in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the induction coil, which contains both a cross-section through the magnetic element and a cross-section through the induction coil. The magnetic element has a length along the longitudinal axis of the induction coil so that the magnetic element projects beyond the induction coil at each end thereof.

Endoscopic capsule

A coil arrangement for contact-free guidance of a magnetic element such as an endoscopy capsule, has a number of individual coils arranged in pairs by which the components of a guidance field are generated. By arranging the individual coils to include coils corresponding to blades at an exterior of a cylindrical surface, the number of degrees of freedom required for guidance can be obtained with fewer individual coils and fewer power amplifiers to operate the coils.
