Propene is continuously reacted with hydrogen peroxide in a tube bundle reactor comprising a multitude of parallel reaction tubes in the presence of a titanium silicalite catalyst arranged as a fixed bed in the reaction tubes. A cooling jacket encloses the reaction tubes, which has a feed point for cooling medium near the entry of the reaction tubes, a withdrawal point for cooling medium near the end of the reaction tubes and at least one additional withdrawal point upstream of the withdrawal point near the end of the reaction tubes. Cooling medium is fed to the feed point for cooling medium, a part of the cooling medium is withdrawn at the at least one additional withdrawal point and the remainder exits at the withdrawal point near the end of the reaction tubes.

Process and reactor for the epoxidation of propene

A process and device for the gasification of liquid or fine-grain solid fuel materials in a reactor is described. Synthesis gas is generated in a first reaction chamber arranged in the upper part of the reactor; feedstock is fed to the upper part. Liquid slag precipitates on its lateral walls. The lower side has a hole with a slag drop-off edge; generated synthesis gas can be withdrawn in downward direction and the liquid slag can drop off the edge. A second chamber delimited by a water film is located under the opening. A third chamber adjacent to the bottom of the second is fed with water. A water bath is adjacent the bottom of the third chamber. The synthesis gas is withdrawn from the pressure vessel in an area at the side or below the third chamber, but located above the water bath.

Gasification reactor and process for entrained-flow gasification

A process and device for the gasification of liquid or fine-grain solid fuel materials with the aid of oxygenous, gaseous gasification agents in a reactor is described. Liquid slag is separated on the walls of the reactor. The synthesis gas is generated in a first reaction chamber arranged in the upper part of the reactor and the feedstock is fed to the upper part. Liquid slag precipitates on its lateral walls, with free downflow and no solidification of the slag surface. The lower side has a hole with a slag drop-off edge, from which the generated synthesis gas can be withdrawn in downward direction and the liquid slag can drop off the edge. A second chamber which is delimited by a water film is located under the opening and used to keep the synthesis gas dry and cool. A third chamber is adjacent to the bottom of the second and fed with water to cool the synthesis gas. A water bath is adjacent the bottom of the third chamber and collects the slag particles already solidified and dropped off or those particles still in the liquid phase. The synthesis gas is withdrawn from the pressure vessel in an area below or on the side of the third chamber but in any case located above the water bath.

A water distribution system in a gasification reactor for carrying out a slag-forming entrained flow process is disclosed having a water screen as a water distribution system with a concentric annular distributor used in conjunction with an axially symmetrical deflecting surface having a concavely curved cross-section. The annular distributor has a water intake and the annular distributor has openings for water to be discharged in jets directed onto the inside of the concavely curved deflecting surface. The water leaving the deflecting surface is conducted downward into the interior of the reactor.

Water distribution system in a gasification reactor

With a method for supplying an entrained-flow gasification reactor with carbonaceous fuel for the production of a gas that contains CO and Hand flue ash under pressure and at a temperature above the melting point of the ash, wherein the resulting gas is passed to further treatment stages, particularly at least one synthesis stage, the waste gas that is derived from the subsequent treatment stage and still contains hydrocarbons and/or hydrogen is used for pneumatic conveying of the fuel into the entrained-flow gasification reactor.

Method for supplying an entrained-flow gasification reactor with carbonaceous fuels

The goal of the invention consists in making available a method for supplying fuel to a pressurized gasification system, which ensures, in economically efficient manner, that the emission of pollutants from the coal transfer and the transport is minimized or completely avoided. This is achieved in that a gas that contains at least 10 ppm vol. CO is used for transfer and/or conveying, whereby a gas that contains oxygen is mixed into this gas, and that this gas mixture is heated to a temperature that oxidizes at least 10% of the pollutants contained in the gas.

Method for supplying an entrained-flow gasification reactor with fuel from a storage container

The invention relates to a device for producing a crude gas containing CO or Hby gasification of an ash-containing fuel with oxygen-containing gas at temperatures above the fusion temperature of the ash in a gasification reactor and with a connected gas cooling chamber and a tapered connecting channel running from one chamber to the other. The aim of the invention is avoiding known problems and reducing the amount of fly ash and the amount of ungasified fuel, wherein a weak eddy is achieved in the inlet to the subsequent apparatuses in order to avoid deposits there with a very compact device, wherein the risk of solidification of the slag in the outlet is also avoided. The aim is achieved, wherein in the tapered connection channel () eddy reducing or eliminating wall surfaces () running over only a part of the cross-section of the connection channel are provided.

Device for production of synthesis gas with a gasification reactor with a subsequent quenching space

A process and device is provided for the generation and purification of a crude gas for synthesis gas generation from a solid carbon-containing fuel by a coal gasification reaction. The fuel is mixed with a quenching medium directly after generation to dissipate the high internal energy and is then brought into contact with a solid basic alkaline earth metal compound or a sorbent consisting of a transition metal-containing compound just in the mixing chamber or downstream of the mixing chamber such that the acidic or basic or sulfur-containing or halogen-containing constituents contained in the crude gas and originating from the gasification reaction are absorbed. A solids-separating device downstream of the sorbent feed device removes the solid or solidified constituents from the system. The basic and transition metal-containing sorbent can be regenerated and returned to the process either in a mixture or after separation from the ash and slag constituents such that an energy-intensive cooling of the crude gas is not required for its purification and the synthesis gas thus purified can be used in a subsequent process without any further heating.

Process for the purification of crude gas from solids gasification

With a method for removing slag, particularly slag that occurs during synthesis gas extraction, from a slag bath situated in a pressurized container, into a collection container for the slag, below the slag bath in the direction of gravity, a device for breaking up the slag is provided below the slag bath, and a sluice valve is provided between the containers. A space filled with a gas bubble, which space stands in contact with the liquid in the containers, particularly a ring space or a separate container, is provided, in which the pressure of the gas bubble is regulated by supplying gas. At least a part of the water situated in the slag sluice/collection space flows through the slag bath valve when the latter is opened, in the direction of the slag bath, counter to the direction of gravity.

Method and system for removing slag, particularly slag that occurs during synthesis gas extraction, from a slag bath container

With the help of a method and device for nozzle-jetting oxygen into a synthesis reactor, e.g. for oxy-dehydration, with largely axial flow of the gas mixture through a catalyst bed, it is intended to vastly improve the mixing-in and mixing-through of oxygen above the catalyst especially for oxy-dehydration process. This is achieved by feeding the oxygen to a ring distributor system arranged above the catalyst bed in pure form, as air or mixed with inert gas or water vapor and jetting the oxygen onto the catalyst surface through several exit openings in the ring distributor at an inclined angle deviating from the vertical.

Method and device for nozzle-jetting oxygen into a synthesis reactor

The invention relates to a method and device for the injection of oxygen in a reformer reactor, for example, for oxydehydrogenation, with an essentially radial throughflow of the gas mixture through a catalytic packing, whereby the incorporation and mixing of the oxygen before entry into the catalyst is significantly improved, in particular for oxydehydrogenation methods. The above is achieved, whereby the oxygen is introduced in pure form, as air, or mixed with inert gas, or with steam, into an annular distribution system () and injected out of a number of outlet openings (6) in the annular distribution system, at an angle to the perpendicular, onto the catalyst surface ().

Method and device for nozzle-jetting of oxygen with radial catalyst flow

A gasification reactor has a mixing tube above it in a common pressure vessel and the mixing tube is provided with a gas cooling heat exchanger. A driving gas feeder draws a portion of the mixture of quenching gas and raw gas from the mixing tube, passes it through the gas cooling heat exchanger and feeds it as a quenching gas to the raw gas at the inlet side of the mixing tube. At least one further heat exchanger in the same pressure vessel or in another pressure vessel, receives the mixture of raw and quenching gas beyond the mixing tube.

Apparatus for the pressure gasification of finely divided fuels

The process for cooling of partial oxidation crude gas includes partially oxidizing a fine grained to powdery combustible material in a flow gasifier in the presence of water vapor and an oxidizing member selected from the group consisting of oxygen and air at pressures of up to 100 bar and at temperatures above a cinder melting point to form a crude gas flow; feeding the crude gas flow in a crude gas duct in an upward crude gas flow direction; and feeding an annular cooling flow of a gaseous or vaporous cooling fluid into the crude gas flow in a downward direction opposite to the crude gas flow direction, the annular cooling flow being bounded by interior walls of the crude gas duct. In a preferred embodiment the annular cooling flow is fed into an upper quenching chamber having a diameter smaller than a downstream connected lower quenching chamber through which the crude gas flows so as to prevent upward extension of any growing cinder layer.

Process for cooling of a partial oxidation crude gas

The gasification apparatus for gasification of finely divided combustible material under pressure includes a gasification reactor which produces a crude gas, a quenching pipe and a convection-heated boiler with a boiler housing, all mounted inside a pressurized vessel. A gas flow guiding device is provided above the quenching pipe for conducting a mixed gas flow containing the crude gas and a quenching gas from the quenching pipe into the convection-heated boiler which surrounds the quenching pipe concentrically. A gas outlet device is provided for the gas flow from the convection-heated boiler and from the pressurized vessel. The gasification reactor is supported at its bottom end in the pressurized vessel at anchoring points. The convection-heated surface elements of the convection-heated boiler are supported by the quenching pipe and the boiler housing but in a stress-free manner. A quenching gas inlet device is provided and includes a circumferential gap between an inlet section of the quenching pipe and an adjacent outlet section of the gasification reactor through which a quenching gas is conducted to form, together with the crude gas, the mixed gas flow.

Gasification apparatus for a finely divided combustible material

The gasification process includes providing a gasification reactor for gasifying a finely divided combustible material under pressure to form a crude gas with cinder and ash components, a quenching pipe positioned concentrically above the gasification reactor, a convection-heated boiler concentrically surrounding the quenching pipe and a gas flow guide device above the quenching pipe, the gas flow guide device being rotationally symmetric with respect to a longitudinal axis of the quenching pipe; conducting the crude gas with the cinder and ash components from the gasification reactor into the quenching pipe; feeding a quenching gas into the quenching pipe during the gasifying to form a mixed flow including the crude gas, the cinder and ash components and the quenching gas; guiding the mixed flow about a 180.degree. turn with the gas flow guide device above the quenching pipe; conducting the mixed flow into the convection-heated boiler; feeding the mixed flow from the convection-heated boiler with the help of a gas outlet device; and adjusting a gas flow speed of the mixed flow so that the cinder and ash components travelling in the mixed flow experience a cooling in the convection-heated boiler so that they loose adherence ability and are conducted through the gas outlet device from the convection-heated boiler.
