A method of monitoring a property of a dissolution of an at least partially solid dosage form during a dissolution process is disclosed. The method includes at least partially dissolving the dosage form, and during the dissolution of the dosage form, simultaneously monitoring the property of the dissolution of the dosage form in progress by low coherence interferometry.

A system and a method for a constant micro dosing of powder material include a control device, a cylinder with a first opening and a piston movably arranged inside the cylinder and controllable by the control device. The piston is movable in the direction to or away from the first opening along a piston stroke direction. The cylinder stores the powder material between the piston and the first opening. The piston pushes the powder material through the first opening by moving along the piston stroke direction. Further the system and the method include a removing device for removing the powder material which is pushed out of the first opening of the cylinder. The control device controls the piston and the removing device in a synchronized manner such that a predetermined amount of powder material pushed through the first opening is removable by the removing device.

System and a method for constant micro-dosing and feeding of powder material

There is provided an apparatus for molding a thermoplastic material into a homogenous sample body having a predetermined shape, the apparatus comprising: (a) a main body () comprising a first opening (), a second opening and a hollow bore () connecting the first opening () with the second opening, the hollow bore () being adapted to receive a separation foil shaped to cover at least a part of the hollow bore surface; (b) a piston () adapted to fit moveably into the hollow bore () containing the separation foil; (c) a base plate () comprising a protrusion, wherein the base plate () is adapted to be inserted into the first opening () in such a manner that the protrusion extends into a part of the hollow bore () containing the separation foil, and wherein the base plate () is adapted to transfer heat from a heating unit to a thermoplastic material () resting on the protrusion (); (d) a vacuum connector () adapted to be connected to a vacuum source; (e) a lid () adapted to fit moveably into the second opening and adapted to apply a force to the piston () when the vacuum connector () is connected to the vacuum source such that the piston () applies a compressing force to the thermoplastic material () resting on the protrusion. There are further provided a method and a system for molding a thermoplastic material into a homogenous sample body having a predetermined shape.

Vacuum compression molding

A method and a device for monitoring a property of a coating of a solid dosage form during a coating process forming the coating of the solid dosage form are provided. The device comprises a coating apparatus configured for forming the coating on the solid dosage form, and a monitoring apparatus configured for monitoring the property of the coating of the solid dosage form in process, wherein at least a part of the monitoring apparatus is located so as to have insight in an interior of the coating apparatus, the interior accommodating the solid dosage form to be coated and a precursor for forming the coating, and wherein the monitoring apparatus is configured for monitoring the property of the coating of the solid dosage form simultaneously with and during a coating process using low coherence interferometry.
