Provided is an infinitely variable cone pulley transmission for which the contact pressure between the cone pulley pairs and the traction is generated hydraulically on one transmission side and mechanical, with the aid of a spring, on the other transmission side. The second transmission side is provided with an axially fixed and an axially movable cone pulley with extended hub. The contact pressure mechanism includes a cam sleeve that is fixed relative to the shaft, a cam sleeve formed by the free end of the hub and roll bodies for the force transmittal, which are inserted between opposite arranged cam curves and rotate around axes extending radial to the transmission shaft. The roll bodies are guided by rings and are held at a mutual distance to each other and with spring force in the axial center region between the cam sleeves, wherein the spring is arranged coaxial on the extended hub.

Bevel gear unit

A pulley gear for an infinitely-variable pulley drive has one pulley disposed on a drive shaft and another pulley disposed on an output shaft, and a transmission element circulating between the pulleys. An output side pressing force is applied to the output side pulley by a pressure medium and a drive side pressing force is applied to the drive side pulley by the pressure medium. The pulley gear has a valve that generates a torque-dependent pressure through the torque-dependent relative movement of a first ring, a jacket, and a second ring, thereby providing a load-dependent pressing force. A cylinder and the second ring form a first cylinder-piston aggregate, and the jacket and first and second rings form a second cylinder-piston aggregate. The first ring has a first cam track thereon and the second ring has a second cam track. The surface of the second ring which is exposed to the pressure medium and which has the cam tracks has a greater area than an area of the surface of the second ring exposed to the pressure medium and oriented towards the first cylinder-piston aggregate.

Infinitely-variable pulley gear

Rocker link elements (32, 33), which are located in pairs for connection of plate links (40), have end facing friction surfaces (43) which are essentially part spherical, for cooperation with essentially part spherical cone surfaces of cone disks (3, 4, 7, 8, 24-27). A base or central surface line is located approximately at a radial position of engagement with the end facing surfaces (43) of the rocker elements (32, 33) with the cone surfaces of the cones when the transmission is set for a transmission ratio of 1:1. To prevent engagement of edge regions of the rocker link elements with the respective cone disks, surface lines (54, 55) located radially outwardly, or inwardly, respectively, from a central surface line (49, 53), are inclined by an angle (.delta.), with respect to the base or central surface line. The angle of inclination (.delta.) increases, in positive or negative direction, respectively, starting at said central or base surface line about the intersection with the rocking surfaces (41, 42) in the direction to the cone surface (44) of the respective cone in engagement with the respective rocker link element. The engagement surfaces between the rocker link elements and the cone surfaces will thereby be protected by material of the rocker link elements adjacent the engagement location.
