The invention is directed to a flow tester for air wherein at least two different materials are accommodated in at least two supply chambers. A visible aerosol is formed when the materials are mixed. The flow tester is improved with respect to an optimal adjustment of the mixing ratio of the components as well as providing a reduction of the flow resistance. The flow tester includes at least two supply chambers which are connected in parallel with respect to the flow therethrough.

A heat treatment device for the conversion of gaseous test samples into constituents determinable by a detector provides the possibility of obtaining the desired pyrolysis products even during the sampling, then feeding them directly to the detector. The device has a small structural shape, and is able to be carried and used easily and operated independently of an external energy supply. The heat treatment device is connectable to a number of different detectors. A container 1 through which the test gas can flow is provided with a chemical filler 5, 7, 8 capable of an exothermic reaction, and with a starter 4 initiating the reaction.

A colorimetric test tube having a colorimetric indication which includes a simple detection system for testing gases dissolved in liquids. The test tube has an indicator for the colorimetric indication of gaseous substances to be detected and it has an opening covered against the environment to be tested with a hydrophobic membrane which is permeable to the substances whose presence is to be detected and which can be used for indicating the presence of gases dissolved in liquids. For the measurement of gas, vapor, or aerosol fractions of a measured gas, the fraction to be determined is absorbed in a reaction solution, and a change of resistance from a reaction between the fraction and the reaction solution is determined as the measured variable by an ohmmeter, using electrodes in the reaction solution. The measured gas entering a test container through a sealing unit tight to the reaction solution and passing the medium to be determined, is improved with regard to all-purpose use and convenient measurement. This is done pursuant to the invention by placing the reaction solution in a disposable test container that can be inserted or connected interchangeably to the measuring device which has electrodes. The test container is sealed, at least at one end, with a sealing unit that is permeable to the medium to be determined and impermeable to the reaction solution.

The invention is directed to a colorimetric gas measuring device with an indicator path which is accessible for the gas to be detected via at least one inlet opening and which, however, is otherwise closed off with respect to the ambient. The colorimetric gas measuring device is improved so that the measuring time is extended and the sensitivity increased while at the same time providing a space-saving configuration. The gas measuring device is small and convenient to handle and can be carried on the person. For this purpose, the indicator paths are configured so as to extend in circuitous manner.

A test tube with several reagent layers affecting the detection reaction, which are separated from one another by means of a permeable interlayer, is improved so that an undesired exchange of reaction products or reagents between the layers is prevented during the measurement process and also during the dwell time, i.e. before and after the measurement. To this end, the interlayer is provided with a valve unit that opens only during the flow.
