A connection unit connects an electrical supply line to a connection element of a heatable exhaust gas system. The connection unit has a housing having a connection element receiving region extending in the direction of a first housing axis (G) and a supply line receiving region extending in the direction of a second housing axis (G). The connection element receiving region is open in a first axial connection element receiving region end region for receiving the connection element protruding from an exhaust gas system and is closed off in a second axial connection element receiving region end region. The supply line receiving region is open to the connection element receiving region in a first axial supply line receiving region end region and is open in a second supply line receiving region end region for receiving an electrical supply line.

Electrical supply line connection unit suitable for harsh high heat environmental conditions

A support assembly supports an exhaust gas treatment element of an exhaust gas treatment unit for an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine. A carrying body is secured on a housing of an exhaust gas treatment unit and surrounds an assembly center axis as a ring or annulus. At least one flexible supporting element is carried on the carrying body. The supporting element has an exhaust gas treatment element supporting side for supporting interaction with an exhaust gas treatment element. The carrying body has a radial limb at least partially engaging radially over the supporting element on a carrying body supporting side facing away from the exhaust gas treatment element supporting side. The supporting element is supported by the carrying body supporting side thereof on the radial limb so as to be shiftable radially inward with respect to the carrying body.

Support assembly

The present invention relates to an exhaust gas treatment device for an exhaust system of a combustion engine, more preferably of a motor vehicle with a housing comprising a jacket and an outlet funnel, with at least one exhaust gas treatment element which is arranged in the jacket and which via a support ring is axially supported on the housing, wherein the outlet funnel comprises an outer funnel and an inner funnel. A simplified design is obtained if the outer funnel at an inner end facing the jacket is connected to the jacket in a fixed manner and at an outer end facing away from the jacket is connected in a fixed manner to the inner funnel, and if between the inner funnel and the outer funnel an insulation space circumferentially running in circumferential direction is formed and the inner funnel at an inner end facing the jacket carries the support ring and relative to the outer funnel is at least axially loose.

Exhaust gas treatment device

An exhaust gas treatment device for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, has a housing in which is arranged at least one ceramic body for exhaust gas treatment. To reduce the risk of damage for the ceramic body and/or the housing in the case of an inexpensive design, the ceramic body has a machined contact zone at least on its outlet end, and the housing has a bearing zone facing the ceramic body on its outlet end. The contact zone and the bearing zone cooperate with one another so that in the case of axial contact on the outlet end between the ceramic body and the housing, the ceramic body is in direct and axial contact with the housing in a line or over an area via the contact zone and the bearing zone, so that the contact is distributed in the circumferential direction or is continuous.
