An aircraft assembly system as described herein includes an input module, a database, and a processing unit. The input module is adapted for inputting customer-specific data and, in particular, parameters which relate to the expected time of delivery, the number of personnel working in the aircraft assembly system or an apparatus of the system which cannot be used. By applying description logics, the processing unit generates a manufacturing plan in accordance with a set of rules and the input parameters. In order to improve the manufacturing plan, input parameters may be changed by the system in an iterative process. This may provide for an efficient use of resources available.

Disclosed here is a component configurator that generates variants of an aircraft component to be installed. The component configurator includes a detection unit that detects a characteristic of the component, and that determines an available free space for an installation of the component in an installation environment. The available free space is defined by a geometry of the component and/or is dependent on a moving space required by a user. The detection unit is configured to generate geometrically different variants of the component based on the free space available for the installation of the component in the installation environment. The disclosed subject matter further relates to a method for generating variants of an aircraft component to be installed, a program element as well as a computer readable medium on which a program element is stored.

An aircraft reconfigurator for reconfiguring an aircraft configuration includes a storage unit that stores aircraft specific data of a predetermined initial configuration, and an input unit for inputting a mission specific reconfiguration parameter. The aircraft reconfigurator includes a processing unit for reconfiguring the initial aircraft configuration based on the stored aircraft specific data of the predetermined initial aircraft configuration and the predetermined mission specific reconfiguration parameter so as to design several alternative aircraft configurations, each of which has a different variant of a cabin layout.

An aircraft monument comprising a desk and a movable part that is mounted to the aircraft monument by means of an attachment device. The movable part is pivotable about an axis between a first position in which the movable part covers a first area of the desk and is essentially arranged inside of the aircraft monument such that its front faces in a first direction towards the back of the aircraft monument, and a second position in which the movable part is at least partially arranged outside of the aircraft monument and its front faces in a second direction that crosses the first direction. The movable part, in its second position, covers a second area of the desk that is less than the first area.

A trolley handling device for guiding a trolley into and out of a trolley stowage, comprising a trolley holder adapted to interact with and secure the trolley against displacement relative to the trolley holder in at least a first direction, and a guiding device comprising a first guiding element attached to the trolley holder and a second guiding element adapted to be provided on a structural part arranged near the stowage. The first and second guiding elements are configured to engage with each other and to guide the trolley between a first position, in which the trolley is essentially arranged inside of the stowage, and a second position, in which the trolley is at least partially arranged outside the stowage. The trolley, in its second position, is arranged offset relative to its first position in the first direction and in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.

A flight attendant seat comprises a carrier having a guide with opposed first and second ends, and a storage compartment receiving the guide first end. The guide provides guidance along its length between its first and second ends. The seat comprises a plurality of segments, each slidingly mounted to the guide to allow a sliding movement of the segments along the guide and relative to the carrier device between a stored position of the segments within the storage compartment, and an exposed position of the segments. A seat element is pivotally mounted to a first of the segments pivotable between an inoperative and operative seat forming position. At least one backrest is mounted to at least a second of the segments. With the segments in their exposed position, the seat element, when pivoted to its operative position, together with the backrest(s), can be used as a flight attendant seat.

The disclosed subject matter relates to a component design system for generating aircraft component designs. The component design system includes a database having a set of rules representative for different load characteristics of different component geometries. The component design system further includes an input module for inputting user-specific load characteristics relating to an aircraft component to be generated and a processing unit for determining a variety of geometrically different aircraft component designs based on the input user-specific load characteristics and the set of rules. A line connection arrangement for units in an aircraft cabin having a unit, a line connector and a receiving area for a trolley. The trolley is movable over the cabin floor on laterally attached castor pairs, and is insertable from a front into the receiving area and locked therein so that its rear panel faces a back of the receiving area. The line connector is connected to a connector in the area of the floor of the cabin. A line extending between the connector and the line connector emerges at least partially out of the cabin floor in the trolley receiving area and, in the case of a locked trolley, laterally offset from the castor pairs, and, projecting at least partially above the cabin floor, extends towards the back of the receiving area. The line runs upwards between the trolley rear panel and the back of the receiving area.

A method for laying a floor covering onto a floor in a cabin of a vehicle comprises the steps of applying a connection means to an element of a group comprising the floor covering and a floor, compacting the floor covering into a compact unit having an open end, bringing the floor covering into the cabin, pulling the open end of the floor covering along a length of the cabin beneath seats disposed in the cabin on the cabin floor and connecting the floor covering to the cabin floor using the connection means. The connection is made by way of one or more adhesive layers, for example. In this way, a carpet floor can be laid or replaced in a cabin of a vehicle without having to remove the seats located in the cabin.

The attachment structure includes, but is not limited to at least one system support that above the cabin floor extends at least along the spacing of two frame elements. A floor structure in an aircraft includes a plurality of seat rails that extend parallel in relation to each other, and at least one floor panel. The floor panel extends over the seat rails and rests on the individual seat rails. In order to be able to fasten interior equipment components to the seat rails situated underneath the floor panels, the at least one floor panel includes a plurality of through-holes through which the interior equipment components of the aircraft can be locked into place on the seat rails.
