The present invention relates to a family of carbohydrate monosulphate fatty acid esters, which contain less than 10 mole % of carbohydrate polysulphate fatty acid esters, and to a method of preparation thereof. The monosulphate carbohydrate esters according to the invention comprise one sulphate ester and at least one fatty acid and are among others useful as adjuvants for immunological products such as vaccines.

The present invention relates to vaccines comprising antiserum raised against a flagellaless Campylobacter strain for the prevention of Campylobacter colonization in animals. The invention also relates to antigenic Campylobacter proteins visible in a Western blot of protein after incubation of said Western blot with antibodies against a flagellaless mutant of and not visible after incubation of said blot with antibodies against wild type , and to their use in vaccines and the manufacturing thereof. The invention further relates to vaccines comprising such proteins and antibodies against such proteins. The invention further relates to the use of such Campylobacter proteins and to antiserum and antibodies raised against Campylobacter antigens for the preparation of vaccines. Finally, the invention relates to methods for the preparation of such vaccines.

Campylobacter vaccine

The present invention relates to vaccines comprising antiserum raised against a flagellaless Campylobacter strain for the prevention of Campylobacter colonisation in animals. The present invention relates to live attenuated RTX-toxin producing bacteria of the family Pasteurellaceae, of which the attenuation is due to the fact that they produce RTX toxin in a non-activated form. The invention also relates to vaccines for the protection of mammals against infection with RTX-toxin producing bacteria of the family Pasteurellaceae, and to methods for the preparation of said live attenuated bacteria and vaccines.

According to the present invention it has been found that a novel E. coli toxin or an immunogenic fragment thereof can be used in the preparation of vaccines for warm-blooded animals, and in particular for birds. Said toxin is found to be associated in flagellar structures attached to the bacteria, and these flagella or the free toxins can, after inactivation be used to immunize animals against E. coli infections.

The present invention is concerned with vaccines effective in protecting pigs against porcine pleuropneumonia. Said vaccines comprising a hemolysin and/or macrophage toxin and a 42 kD OMP preparation derived from Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae (App) cells induce a complete and heterologous protection against App infection.
