A separator includes a preassembled drive and rotation system unit having an outer ring flange portion and a drive frame having an inner ring flange. The outer ring flange portion of the preassembled drive and rotation system unit is vertically connected to the inner ring flange of the drive frame. A rotatable drum is placed onto the preassembled drive and rotation system unit, in the drum at least one paring disk is arranged in a paring chamber, and one or more stacks each having one or more stackable intermediate elements are arranged between the inner ring flange and the outer ring flange portion in order to set an axial relative position at least between the drive frame and the drive and rotation system unit.

A separator includes: a centrifugal drum; a drive spindle, where the drive spindle is rotatably mounted in a drive housing by a neck bearing and a foot bearing, and where the drive housing encloses a drive chamber; an electric motor which has a stator and a motor rotor, where the motor rotor is disposed on the drive spindle, where the stator is fixedly connected to the drive housing, where an air gap exists between the stator and the motor rotor, and where the stator and the motor rotor are arranged between the neck bearing and the foot bearing; a lubricating system for lubrication of the neck bearing and the foot bearing; and a coolant system; where the stator has a flange section which is disposed on a collar section of the drive housing.

A solid-bowl centrifuge that includes a drum rotatable about a horizontal axis of rotation and a screw arranged in the drum. Also included are a continuous solids discharge located at a first end of the drum and a continuous liquid discharge located at a second, opposite end of the drum. Further included is at least one discontinuously acting outlet opening including a closure device.

A separator includes a rotatable centrifugal drum having a vertical axis of rotation. The separator includes a rotatable drive spindle to drive the drum, an hydraulic system located in an interior of the drum and at least one feed line to feed a control fluid to the drum, the at least one feed line having an outlet region. Further included is a ring non-rotatably connected to the drum, a gap located between one of the drive spindle and the drum and the drive spindle and the ring. The feed line leads out radially in front of the drive spindle in the outlet region. The outlet region is oriented and configured such that emerging control fluid is spread directly against the drive spindle, and a portion of the control fluid enters through the gap into the hydraulic system.

A mechanism for driving a centrifuge drum has a shaft housing and a vertical transmission shaft having an upper end on which a centrifuge drum is mountable. Upper and lower bearings mount the shaft for rotation in the shaft housing. A wheel is mounted on the shaft for rotation therewith and a drive belt rotates the shaft via the wheel. An oil pool provides an oil mist for lubricating the upper bearing. The lower bearing is immersed in the oil pool and the wheel is mounted on the shaft above the upper bearing.
