A seat belt is provided for the protection of vehicle occupants of an automobile against accidents that includes, but is not limited to a webbing for restraining the vehicle occupant, a locking tongue movably connected to the webbing in a longitudinal direction of the webbing for locking with a belt lock, and a textile retaining device connected immovably to the webbing, having an insertion opening for at least partial receipt of the locking tongue. The retaining device forms an outlet opening opposite the insertion opening. Since the region opposite the insertion opening is not closed, but open, the design structure of the retaining device can be simplified and a simpler fastening of the retaining device to the webbing can be achieved, so that the manufacture of the seat belt is simplified.

A method is provided for fastening an airbag to a motor vehicle, that includes, but is not limited to the steps of fastening an airbag, which can be filled with a gas and which has a fastening tab, to a fastening device which comprises a plate and a clip device fastened to the plate and the plate comprises a first plate section with a first opening having a screw thread and a second plate section, and the clip device is fastened on the first plate section, and the airbag is fastened to the fastening device by bending the second plate section in such a manner that the first plate section and the second plate section at least partially enclose the fastening tab on both sides. A fastening device is also provided for an airbag, an airbag, and a motor vehicle.

Method and device for fastening an airbag in a motor vehicle

One embodiment may include a tank assembly having a tank housing, a lever, and a release feature. The lever may be hinged at a first point to the tank housing and may be constructed to be hinged at a second point to a vehicle structure. The release feature holds and releases the tank housing from a first position and to a second position. The release feature may include a clamping mechanism to clamp and unclamp a catch, and a keeper to hold and release another catch.
