An epilating device for extracting hairs out of a user's skin, including an epilating system having a plurality of hair-clamping elements arranged adjacent to each other and rotatable relative to a housing about an axis of rotation, a compression member arranged to exert a compression force on the epilating system along at least a compression line which extends parallel to a main direction of extension of the axis of rotation, and a drive system arranged to rotate the hair-clamping elements about the axis of rotation. The hair-clamping elements are arranged to cooperate in pairs. During rotation of the epilating system, the paired hair-clamping elements are tiltable relative to each other, under influence of said compression force about at least one tilting axis from a hair-catching position and about only one tilting axis from a first hair-clamping position.

Epilating device

A head unit of a depilation appliance comprises at least one pair () of hair-clamping elements (), wherein the hair-clamping elements () have tweezer surfaces () which are arranged to face each other, and which are movable towards and away from each other in their entirety so as to be movable into and out of contact to each other. In order to achieve improved hair-clamping performance of the at least one pair () of hair-clamping elements (), the tweezer surfaces () are further configured to move into alignment with each other in the process of getting into contact to each other, wherein the entirety of the tweezer surface () of one () of the hair-clamping elements () is tillable relative to a support () that is included in the respective hair-clamping element ().

Improving hair-clamping performance of a pair of hair-clamping elements

An epilating device for extracting hairs out of a user's skin, including hair-clamping elements that are arranged adjacent to each other and rotatable relative to a housing. A drive system rotates the hair-clamping elements which co-operate in pairs and are moveable relative to each other during rotation. On each side surface facing an adjacent hair-clamping element, there is a hair-clamping section and a hair-catching section. The hair-catching sections of adjacent hair-clamping elements define a funnel area, wherein the hair-catching sections converge towards each other for guiding hairs towards the hair-clamping sections. The hair-clamping sections of adjacent hair-clamping elements are movable relative to each other from an open position, where the hair-clamping sections are at a distance from each other, to a closed position, where the hair-clamping sections are in mutual clamping engagement in a hair-clamping area.

The invention relates to a skin treatment device for removing callus from the skin by an abrasive treatment, comprising a housing with a handle section (), a skin treatment element () rotatable around a rotational axis () and a protective rim (). Said protective rim circumferentially encases said skin treatment element partially over an angular range of more than 120&#xb0; and less than 330&#xb0; about said rotational axis such that a circumferential abrasive treatment surface protrudes from the protective rim in an area extending over an angular range of 30&#xb0; to 240&#xb0;.

Apparatus for callus removal

There is disclosed a coupling unit () for transmission of a rotary driving force, comprising a first coupling member () having a curved first bearing surface () and a second coupling member () having a main coupling body () and a curved second bearing surface engaging the first bearing surface thereby enabling rotation of the second coupling member () relative to the first coupling member (). The second coupling member comprises at least two carrying elements () which are each provided with a respective one of at least two second bearing surface segments () of the second bearing surface that engage the first bearing surface. At least two connecting elements () of the second coupling member () each connect a respective one of the at least two carrying elements () with the main coupling body () and comprise an elastically deformable material. In a first deformed condition the elastically deformable material provides a first biasing force urging the at least two second bearing surface segments () into contact with the first bearing surface. A blocking element () of the first coupling member () is arranged between the first bearing surface () and the main coupling body () and is configured to prevent passage of the carrying elements () along the blocking element at least in the first deformed condition. In a second deformed condition of the elastically deformable material, wherein the elastically deformable material provides a second biasing force larger than the first biasing force, the carrying elements () are able to pass along the blocking element.

Coupling unit

The invention relates to an epilating device () for epilating hairs growing from skin, comprising a housing; an epilating system having a plurality of hair-clamping elements arranged adjacent to each other rotatably on a curved supporting shaft which extends in a plane of curvature; a drive system arranged () to rotate the hair-clamping elements; a skin-contacting member () arranged to contact the skin during use and to be pivotable relative to the housing about a first pivot axis; a compression member arranged adjacent to the epilating system to exert a compression force on the epilating system directed along a compression line, said compression member being pivotable relative to the housing about a second pivot axis to adjust a position of the compression line relative to the housing; and a linkage mechanism linking the skin-contacting member and the compression member such that a pivotal motion of the skin-contacting member about the first pivot axis over a first pivot angle results in a pivotal motion of the compression member about the second pivot axis over a second pivot angle equal to the first pivot angle; wherein the compression member is arranged in a fixed position relative to the curved supporting shaft; and the linkage mechanism links the skin-contacting member () and the supporting shaft such that the pivotal motion of the skin-contacting member () about the first pivot axis over the first pivot angle results in a pivotal motion of the supporting shaft about the second pivot axis over the second pivot angle.

Epilating device for epilating hair

A pivoting arrangement for a shaving device, comprising a pivoting member (), adapted to support a shaving head, a cradle (), pivotally supporting the pivoting member, and a spring loading arrangement () arranged to bias the pivoting member in a resting position. The spring loading arrangement has a limited active range, so that, when the pivoting member is brought out of the resting position in a first pivoting direction, the spring loading arrangement is prevented from interacting with the pivoting member in a first point of action (), and when the pivoting member is brought out of the resting position in a second pivoting direction, the spring loading arrangement is prevented from interacting with the pivoting member in a second point of action (). As a result, the resting position will not be dependent on e.g. the spring constants of different springs in the spring loading arrangement. The resting position will thus be more exactly defined, and exhibit less variation than conventional solutions. Also, the total force acting on the pivoting member will be reduced, thus causing less friction, also serving to improve the predictability of the arrangement.

Pivoting arrangement

Shaving apparatus having a housing () and a shaving head holder () that is pivotably connected to the housing () and can pivot from an open position to a closed position against the force of a spring (), and having latching means (-) for latching the shaving head holder to, and unlatching the shaving head holder from, the housing in a closed position of said holder. To improve the skin contour-following properties during shaving, the shaving head holder () in its closed position can be depressed against the force of a spring ().
