An oven for use in an aircraft is disclosed, including a preparation space. A fan and a heater are located behind a separating wall. The separating wall has at least one of the following devices for enhancing the uniformity of air flow: &#x2014;a throat around a central air intake opening in the separating wall&#x2014;the separating wall provided with end edges which run close to the side walls of the preparation space and which are curved or bent towards the preparation space&#x2014;flow guides extending along an edge of the separating wall and directed away from the preparation space.

Oven having a uniform hot air flow in the preparation space

The invention relates to an oven () comprising a preparation space and a device for heating the content thereof, and further provided with means for releasably connecting steam module () to the heating device. In this way a convection oven may be converted into a steam oven. The heating device may be arranged in a housing (), and the connecting means may comprise attachment points () arranged on an outer wall of the housing for parts of the steam module (), like a condenser (), supply and discharge valves () and a pressure sensor ().

Oven and its combination with a steam module

The invention relates to an aircraft oven comprising a preparation space and means for heating the content thereof, which heating means comprise a fan driven by a direct-current motor, in particular a brushless direct-current motor, for distributing heat generated by the heating means in the preparation space. The oven can have an electronic control system, wherein electronics for operating the brushless direct-current motor can be integrated into the control system. The direct-current motor can further be thermally insulated relative to the preparation space.
