Steer unit for steer-by-wire comprising angle sensing means () for detecting the angular position of a steering wheel (), processing means () connected to the angle sensing means () and connectable to a wheel position sensor (), the wheel position sensor () being arranged for providing an output signal representing the position of steered wheels () of a vehicle. The processing means () are connectable to a steering actuator () mechanically coupled to the steered wheels (), the processing means () being arranged for driving the steering actuator () dependent on the angular position of the steering wheel (). The steer unit further comprises friction means () for providing a friction force on the steering wheel (), the friction means () being connected to the processing means (), and the processing means () being arranged for driving the friction means () in dependence of the wheel position sensor output signal.

Steer unit for steer-by-wire

King-pin assembly with a sensor (), the King-pin assembly () comprising a Kingpin (), an axle frame (), a spindle () and a bearing () for moveably mounting the spindle () to the axle frame () using the King-pin. The King-pin assembly further comprises a spacer () for holding the axle frame (I) at a predetermined distance from a bearing inner ring (). A housing () is attached to the spacer (), the housing () comprising at least a first part () of the sensor (), a second part () of the sensor () being fixedly attached to the spindle ().

Sensor in King-pin

An instrumented roller bearing, in particular for an electrical steering wheel (), comprises an outer component () and an inner component () whereof one is mobile in rotation relative to the other which is fixed, through at least a row of rolling elements () arranged between the components, and elements for detecting () the rotating parameters of the rotary component. The bearing further comprises electronic members () for processing signals emitted by the detecting elements and electronic elements () for controlling at least an actuator electrically connected to the device, advantageously arranged on a printed circuit wafer () fixed in rotation.
