A fuel injection nozzle for internal combustion engines having a nozzle body, firmly fastened to a nozzle holder with an interposition of a shim, and a valve needle that is axially displaceable in the nozzle body and that is lifted by the fuel pressure, counter to a closing spring assembly for the injection of fuel. To lend the injection nozzle a slender form, the chamber receiving the closing spring assembly is disposed eccentrically to the nozzle axle and the fuel inlet conduit in the nozzle holder, specifically in the portion of the nozzle holder wall that is thicker as a result of the eccentricity. In order, moreover to transmit the closing force of the closing spring assembly to the valve needle without shear forces as much as possible, a pressure protrusion that transmits the closing force is guided in an aperture extending eccentrically to the nozzle axle (b). The protrusion is integrally joined with an adapter or with the valve needle.

Fuel injection nozzle for an internal combustion engine

A pressure valve to be secured into a supply line between a pump work chamber of a fuel injection pump and a injection location of an internal combustion engine to be supplied with fuel. A pressure valve closing element provided with a sealing face is pressed by a compression spring onto a valve body provided with a valve seat. To reduce pressure waves in the supply line caused by a sudden closing of the pressure valve, a check valve that opens in the direction of the pump work chamber, and that comprises a valve seat, a valve closing element, a spring plate and a restoring spring is disposed in a through conduit of the pressure valve closing element, which is preceded by a throttle restriction. Throttling of the fuel flowing downstream of the check valve is avoided by disposing a through conduit in the spring plate. A filler piece inserted into the through conduit and defining the opening stroke of the check valve, also has a longitudinal bore that opens into a transverse bore for an unthrottled fuel flow.

By means of location of control bores in the annular slide, the outflow stream is provided with the longest possible path until the outflow stream strikes the wall of the cylinder liner, in order to attain the freest and most unhindered possible stream course with reduced turbulence. A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines having a plurality of pump elements disposed in a row, the onset and end of supply of each being effected by means of a respective control slide that is axially displaceable on the pump piston and by the control of relief conduits for the pump work chamber.
