Gaskets and methods for manufacturing a gasket for sealing a gap in a housing, such as a battery housing, which gap extends at least partially around an interior of the housing, said gasket comprising at least one sealing layer. The sealing layer comprises at least two segments which are arranged adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction of the sealing layer and are joined to each other at a joining region. The two segments have, at the joining region, intermeshing engagement elements joined to each other, and one or both of the segments has/have, at the joining region a positioning hole and a through-opening which are arranged behind the engagement element from the point of view of the respective other segment.

Gasket and method for producing a gasket

A cylinder head gasket is disclosed having a carrier layer, in which at least one through-opening for a combustion chamber is located, and a combustion chamber sealing element, which is inserted in the through-opening and extends in an intrinsically closed manner. In some examples, at least one gap is formed at least in some sections between the carrier layer and the combustion chamber sealing element, the gap extending around the combustion chamber sealing element at least in some sections. Further, in some example, the carrier layer has at least one slot-like or groove-like channel, which extends from the at least one gap between the carrier layer and the combustion chamber sealing element to the outer edge of the carrier layer.

The present disclosure relates to a seal for sealing an inner chamber of a housing from an exterior of the housing, comprising at least one sealing layer that has: at least two rigid sealing layer portions having a respective support element, wherein the rigid sealing layer portions are interconnected by a flexible sealing layer portion, which consists of or comprises at least in part an elastomer; and at least one sealing contour, which extends continuously over the different sealing layer portions, wherein the support elements each comprise, in an end region adjoining the flexible sealing layer portion, at least one through-opening, through which the elastomer of the flexible sealing layer portion extends, and the end region of each support element is coined in at least one first end-side coining region and is enclosed by the elastomer in the first end-side coining region at least in some regions.

Foldable gasket with continuous sealing contour

A gasket has sealing layer(s) with beads which are assigned to passage opening(s), and stopper layer(s) with a stopper which limits the resilience of the bead(s). The stopper is composed of a plurality of directly successive ridge-shaped elevations and groove-shaped depressions, both being trapezoidal in cross section and both being formed in on both sides of the stopper layer, with setting angles of the trapezium flanks. The trapezoidal elevations of the one side are situated opposite the trapezoidal depressions of the other side. A cross section (Q) which is delimited by opposing trapezium flanks which are adjacent to one another is the same or greater than a cross section (Q) which is delimited between the opposing depressions of the two sides.
