A start/stop device initiates an automatic activation process of an automatically deactivated drive machine of a motor vehicle, in particular of a motor vehicle with an automatic transmission. The drive machine can be automatically deactivated when the motor vehicle is traveling, and the automatically deactivated drive machine can be activated on the basis of driver actions. The start/stop device is configured to initiate an automatic activation of the drive machine which is automatically deactivated when the motor vehicle is traveling on the basis of a detected drive dynamic desired by the driver.

A system and method are provided for influencing vehicle systems while taking into account relevant signal generators, particularly relevant signal generator condition signals. A determination unit identifies relevant signal generators and/or their signal generator condition signals and an output unit generates an output signal to a vehicle system as a function of the result of the determination unit. The determination unit for the identification of relevant signal generators and/or relevant signal generator condition signals takes into account information concerning identified concealed signal generators.

In a transmission controller for the open-loop and/or closed-loop control of the operation of an automatic or automated manual transmission of a motor vehicle, a shifting strategy of the transmission control unit controls the operation of the transmission in an open-loop and/or closed-loop manner based on driving status data and/or driver intention data. The shifting strategy of the transmission control unit influences a gear change from a current actual gear into a target gear based on available environmental data. In the event of a required down-shift from a current actual gear into a lower target gear, the transmission control unit is configured to take into account available information relating to a traffic light status, in particular relating to a change of a traffic light status of a relevant traffic light.

A method and start-stop device for initiating an automatic shutdown of an engine, in particular a combustion engine, in a motor vehicle are provided, wherein an automatic shutdown of the engine is initiated if a condition triggering a stop has been met and no shutdown preventer has been met. A first condition triggering a stop is determined depending on a delay request, when with the triggered delay request a braking value is requested that exceeds a predetermined first shutdown braking threshold without exceeding a predetermined second shutdown braking threshold that is greater than the predetermined first shutdown braking threshold. A second condition triggering a stop is determined depending on a delay request, if with the triggered delay request a braking value is requested that exceeds the predetermined second shutdown braking threshold.

A driver assistance system for assisting a driver in achieving consumption-controlled driving combines haptic and visual acknowledgment functions, particularly in the form of a drive configuration, a display concept, and/or a deceleration assistant. A modified characteristic accelerator pedal curve is utilized, and ECO tips of the interactive output of efficient driving instructions are provided.
