This invention relates to a method for producing a fibrous web from at least one fibrous suspension in a twin mesh former with a twin mesh zone which has a wedge-shaped intake nip and is formed at least in some sections by two rotating endless meshes, of which the first mesh, which is passed over a preferably positionable inlet roller, is passed in the double mesh zone over several rails rigidly arranged a distance from each other on a preferably movable dewatering box, and of which the second mesh is passed in the twin mesh zone over several rails which are arranged opposite the rails of the preferably movable dewatering box, are supported by way of compliant elements and are pressed with a selectable force against the second mesh. The method further provides that in the region of an adjustable intersection point in which the first mesh intersects at a preferably adjustable intersection angle with the fibrous suspension lying on the second mesh, a locally acting dewatering pulse is introduced by way of the second mesh into the fibrous suspension. In addition, the invention relates to a twin mesh former of a machine for producing a fibrous web, in particular a paper web or paperboard web, from at least one fibrous suspension, and to a sheet forming system of a machine for producing a preferably multi-layer fibrous web, in particular a paper web or paperboard web, from at least one fibrous suspension.

Wire section, guidance device, and process of forming a web in a machine for producing a fibrous material web. The device include two revolving endless wire belts, a twin wire zone formed between the two revolving endless wire belts, and a revolving flexible support belt located in a vicinity of the twin wire zone and positioned to support at least one of the two wire belts in a support region. The flexible support belt is generally guided along an at least essentially circular cylindrical path, and the support region includes a support path having an average curvature radius that is greater than a curvature radius of the essentially circular path. The process includes supporting at least one of the two endless wire belts with the flexible support belt in a support region, rotating the flexible support belt along a generally circular path, and deflecting the support belt from the generally circular path in the support region, whereby the support belt in the support regions travels along a support path. An average radius of curvature of the flexible support belt in the support path is greater than an average radius of curvature of the flexible support belt in the generally circular path.

Wire section, belt guidance device, and process for forming fibrous material web in wire section

A twin-wire former adapted to form a web of fibrous material is provided. First and second endless circulating wire bands define a twin-wire zone therebetween, and form the web of fibrous material therebetween. The first and second wire bands run over a forming roll in the twin-wire zone, where the first wire band contacts the forming roll. A reel-off point is defined as the point at which the first and second wire bands disengage from the forming roll. At least one support device extends crosswise over the second wire band. The support device is a hinged foil skimmer, and is disposed in a region of the reel-off point, and contacts the second wire band. Movement of the second wire band relative to the at least one supporting device creates an area of reduced air pressure therebetween. The method includes moving the first and second wire bands adjacent a forming roll such that the first wire band contacts the forming roll. The first and second wire bands disengage from the forming roll at a reel-off point. A reduced air pressure is generated adjacent a side of the second wire band facing away from the forming roll, in a region of the reel-off point. The distance between the hinge and the second wire band is variable to adapt the angle of inclination between a foil surface of the skimmer and the second wire band to thereby adapt the magnitude of reduced air pressure.
