A supply module for feeding electrical components to an automatic component-mounting machine has a locking element which is a piezoceramic bending transducer that extends in the longitudinal direction of the supply module along a supply path for the components. A free end of the locking element projects into a window of the supply module to an extent such that the locking element is located slightly above the component which has been conveyed there and is ready for removal. By applying an operating voltage to the locking element, the locking element can be deflected laterally to an extent such that it is moved out of the coverage region over the component transversely with respect to the component advancing direction.

Supply module for feeding electrical components to an automatic placement device

An apparatus for assembling components on printed circuit boards has a central region having two linear guides proceeding parallel in close proximity to one another, and carriages being displaceable on these guides. Each of the carriages has a transverse beam projecting outwardly therefrom, on which a processing head is movable, and the beams of the carriages on one side of the longitudinal guides extend in an opposite direction to the beams of the other side. The two separate processing locations are provided independently served by one or the other of the carriages. Thus, a high processing capacity is obtained.

Apparatus for manufacture of electrical assemblies

An actuating drive for a pneumatic valve of an insertion head for electrical components having a revolver type movable insertion head for the electrical components which includes suction pipettes which protrude in a stellate fashion and which can be rotated successively into a placement attitude for each respective component. A valve is allocated to each of the suction pipettes which switches its suction air over to blowing air following placement of the component on a components carrier. The valve is actuated by a piezoelectric flex transducer anchored at a stator of the insertion head.
