Device for machining work pieces rotating around a work piece axis (Z) with a tool that rotates around a tool axis, where a clamping device () is transferred into a first position, a work piece to be machined is clamped on said clamping device, the clamping device () with the work piece clamped thereon is transferred from the first position into a spatially separated second position where it can be driven to rotate around the work piece axis (Z) by a work piece spindle () connected to the clamping device () and after the work piece has been machined, the clamping device () is transferred from the second into the first position, wherein the clamping device () is separated from the work piece spindle () in the transfer from the second into the first position, and connected to the work piece spindle () in the transfer from the first into the second position (FIG.).

Method and device for machining work pieces that rotate around a work piece axis

A carriage arrangement for a machine tool, which can be adjusted similar to a compound slide, has an increased rigidity against a machining force being taken up by said arrangement in that according to the invention a first carriage () can be adjusted relative to a machine base () along a first trajectory that is tilted toward the direction of force, and a second carriage loaded with the machining force can be adjusted at the first carriage along a second trajectory that is orthogonal to the direction of force (FIG.).

In a machine tool with at least two axes of movement () defining, respectively, the mobility of a first function-supporting unit () and of a second function-supporting unit (), only the first function-supporting unit () is provided with its own servo drive, while the second function-supporting unit () is driven by the movement of the first function-supporting unit () through a coupler unit () that can be switched between an engaged and a disengaged state.

A machine for deburring and fine machining of the tooth flanks of toothed workpieces with a gear-shaped fine machining tool, preferably, a shaving wheel, which is in rolling engagement with a workpiece, comprising a tool spindle, a motor for driving the tool spindle, a workpiece spindle with a clamping device for the workpiece, a motor for driving the workpiece spindle, a sensor correlated with the workpiece spindle for determining the angular position of the teeth of the workpiece relative to the axis of the workpiece and an electronic gear coupling the drive motors of the tool spindle and of the workpiece spindle which, as a function of the signal of the sensor, rotates the fine machining tool and the workpiece such relative to one another that tooth and gap are aligned. In this connection, it is provided that on the tool spindle, in addition to the fine machining tool, at least one toothed deburring tool is fixedly arranged, wherein the rotational position of the deburring tool and of the fine machining tool relative to the tool spindle is defined by an index.
