A disc brake for a motor vehicle and a corresponding brake lining are provided. The disk brake includes a brake caliper straddling a brake disc, at least one brake lining with a lining carrier plate and friction lining, and a brake carrier fixed to the vehicle having carrier flanges supporting the lining carrier plate on entry and exit sides. The entry-side carrier flange and the adjacent lining carrier plate support surface interlockingly engage with one another, and the exit-side carrier flange and a corresponding contact contour of the lining carrier plate form a support surface inclined at an angle relative to the Y-axis in certain areas or at least in the radially highest area of the lining support on the brake carrier.

Disc brake for a motor vehicle and brake lining

A disc brake, in particular for a commercial vehicle, has a brake caliper that reaches over a brake disc and is designed as a floating caliper. The brake caliper is fastened to a stationary brake carrier. A brake application device, by which an associated, application-side brake lining can be pressed against the brake disc during braking, is provided, as well as, at least one restoring device having a restoring element, by which restoring device the brake caliper can be brought into an initial position after displacement and release of the brake as a result of braking. The restoring device is designed such that it is retained both in the brake caliper and in the brake carrier on the side of the brake disc opposite the brake application device.

Disc brake

A disc brake for a motor vehicle and a corresponding brake lining are provided. The disk brake includes a brake caliper straddling a brake disc, at least one brake lining with a lining carrier plate and friction lining, and a stationary brake mounting fixed to the vehicle having support protrusions that support the pad support plate on the inlet and on the outlet side. The support protrusion of the brake support on the inlet side and the support surface of the lining support plate adjacent to the support protrusion positively engage one another.

A brake cylinder for pneumatic vehicle brakes, especially for commercial vehicles, includes in addition to a pneumatic locking mechanism, a manual release mechanism for manually releasing the spring brake section, and a device designed to visually recognize the manual release condition of the spring brake section outside of the housing.

A wear adjustor is provided for adjusting the wear of brake pads and a brake disc of a pneumatic disc brake having a brake application device actuated by a rotary lever. The wear adjustor is preferably inserted into an adjusting spindle of the brake application device. An axial bearing is formed axially on a side of a drive ring, and a ball ramp coupling with a freewheel function is formed axially on the opposite side of the drive ring. The ball ramp coupling has balls and a drive socket which is arranged axially, on the drive side, between the axial bearing and the balls thereof, a cone clutch being arranged between the clutch ring on the output side and an elastic sleeve for a cylinder spring. The cone clutch has the output-side clutch ring and a cone socket connected to the elastic sleeve, and clamping balls are arranged between the output-side clutch ring and the cone socket.

A wear adjustor adjusts the wear of brake pads and a brake disc of a pneumatic disc brake having a rotary lever brake application device. The wear adjustor is insertable into an adjusting spindle and attached to a caliper of the disc brake by a bearing disc. An axial bearing is formed axially on a side of a drive ring, and a ball ramp coupling with a freewheel function is formed axially on the opposite side of the drive ring. The ball ramp coupling includes balls and a drive socket which is arranged axially, on the drive side, between the axial bearing and the balls thereof, a cone coupling being arranged between the coupling ring on the output side and an elastic sleeve for a cylinder spring. The output-side coupling ring is designed for a working rotational angle defined by at least one fixed abutment.

A brake cylinder for a pneumatic vehicle brake, particularly for a commercial vehicle includes a spring-loaded brake section for performing parking brake operations by a spring-loaded spring, and a service brake section for performing compressed air-actuated service brake operations. The spring-loaded brake section and the service brake section are combined in a structural unit in a housing. The housing is divided by a piston into a pressure chamber to which compressed air can be applied and a further space. The pressure chamber serves the actuation of the service brake section in the pressure space and the spring-loaded spring of the spring-loaded section being disposed in the additional space on the opposite side of the piston. The spring-loaded spring acts on an additional spring-loaded piston in the space. The piston is lockable in relation to the piston by a pneumatically operable locking mechanism and releasable from the same by releasing the locking mechanism. The piston is further connected to a piston rod, either directly or indirectly or by additional elements, for actuating the vehicle brake. The brake cylinder is configured such that the compressed air supply to the locking mechanism occurs via a compressed air hose.

The adjustor is insertable into an adjusting spindle and attached to a caliper of the disc brake by way of a mounting disc. An axial bearing is formed axially on one side of a drive ring and a ball ramp coupling with a freewheel function is formed axially on the opposite side of the drive ring. The ball ramp coupling has balls, has the drive ring arranged at the drive-input side axially between the axial bearing and the balls thereof, and has a drive-output-side clutch ring. A cone clutch is arranged between the drive-output-side clutch ring and a spring sleeve for a cylindrical spring. A torque-dependent coupling with positive restraint is arranged axially between the cone clutch and the spring sleeve.

A method is provided for fixing an adjustment device on a disc brake, particularly a pneumatically actuated disc brake. The adjustment device is inserted in a previously adjusted idle position into an adjusting spindle of the disc brake, wherein a coupling of a shift fork of the adjustment device is carried out with a rotating lever of the disc brake, and a centering is carried out by a bearing disc of the adjustment device in a receptacle of a brake caliper. The adjustment device is positioned by twisting the same. The adjustment device is secured on the disc brake by locking the bearing disc on the brake caliper by a locking element.

Method for fixing an adjustment device on a disc brake

An adjusting device is provided for adjusting wear of brake pads and a brake disc of a pneumatically actuated disc brake, having a rotary lever-actuated application device. The adjusting device is insertable into an adjusting spindle of the disc brake and attached to a brake caliper of the disc brake by way of a bearing disc. A drive ring is axially disposed on a bushing of a powershift/overload clutch. The powershift/overload clutch is axially disposed between the drive ring and a clutch sleeve for a spring. The clutch sleeve has a sleeve and a clutch insert that may be axially inserted into the sleeve in a positively engaged manner.

A wear adjustor is provided for adjusting the wear of brake pads and the brake disc of a pneumatically operated disc brake having a brake application device that can be actuated via a rotary lever. The wear adjustor is able to be inserted into an adjusting spindle of the brake application device. The wear adjustor includes a clutch ring for coupling to a spring sleeve that is in engagement with the adjusting spindle. A blocking device is disposed between the adjusting spindle and the wear adjustor. The blocking device forms a stop for the adjusting spindle in the tangential direction relative to the rotating direction.

A brake cylinder for pneumatic vehicle brakes includes a spring brake section for parking brake actions and a service brake section for service brake actions combined in one housing. The housing is subdivided by a piston into two compartments, one compartment being used as the pressure compartment for the service brake, and the brake spring of the spring section being arranged in the other compartment on the opposite end of the piston. The brake spring acts upon an additional spring piston, which can be locked and released relative to the piston by a pneumatic locking mechanism. The spring piston is connected to a piston rod directly or via additional elements to actuate the brake. Once the locking mechanism is released, the brake spring displaces the pistons relative each other during a parking brake action. At least one pneumatic valve for controlling the brake cylinder are integrated into the brake cylinder.

Compact combination cylinder for vehicle brakes, comprising a control device, and method for controlling the brake cylinder

A brake cylinder for pneumatically actuated vehicle brakes, especially for commercial vehicles, includes a housing. The housing is divided into two chambers by a piston, one of the chambers being used as a pressure chamber for actuating an operating brake section, and a cylinder spring of a spring-loaded brake section being arranged in the other chamber on the opposite side of the piston. The cylinder spring acts on another spring-loaded piston in the chamber, which can be blocked in relation to the first piston by a pneumatically actuated locking mechanism. The other spring-loaded piston is released from the first piston by a releasing action of the blocking mechanism, and is connected to a piston rod for actuating the vehicle brake. Following release of the blocking mechanism, the cylinder spring acts between the two pistons and moves them in relation to each other during a parking braking operation. The brake cylinder includes a manually actuatable release device, in addition to the pneumatically actuable blocking mechanism, for manually releasing the spring-loaded brake section without impairing the function of the operating brake section.

A brake cylinder is provided for vehicle brakes, in particular for commercial vehicles brakes, that is equipped with a brake cylinder housing, in which a spring-loaded piston, a service brake piston, a spring-loaded spring and a piston return spring are arranged. The brake cylinder is simple to construct and extremely compact. The spring-loaded piston is in a primary chamber of the brake cylinder and is arranged between the service brake piston and a front side of the brake cylinder housing having the compressed air connections.
