An apparatus in accordance with the invention for the recording of distance images each having a plurality of distance image points comprises a plurality of transmitters arranged in an array respectively for the transmission of electromagnetic radiation into a recording region and at least one reception unit for the detection of radiation reflected from the recording region, an evaluation unit for determining distances of objects at which the transmitted radiation is reflected, with the distances each forming a distance image point, a deflection unit which repeatedly deflects the transmitted radiation within a scanning angle region into a scanning direction in order to consecutively generate a plurality of scanning patterns of distance image points per distance image, and a displacement unit that displaces consecutive scanning patterns against one another in a displacement direction by way of relative movements of optical elements, wherein each distance image comprises a plurality of scanning patterns of distance image points displaced against one another.

Apparatus and method for the recording of distance images

An apparatus for recording distance profiles respectively having a plurality of distance image points comprises: (i) a plurality of transmitters arranged in an array respectively for the transmission of electromagnetic radiation into a recording region; (ii) at least one reception unit for the detection of radiation reflected from the recording region; (iii) an evaluation unit for determining distances of objects at which transmitted radiation is reflected, with the distances each forming a distance image point; and (iv) a deflection unit which deflects the transmitted radiation within a scanning angle region into a scanning direction in order to consecutively generate, per distance profile, a plurality of scanning patterns of distance image points that are displaced against one another in the scanning direction and that each image the transmitter array, wherein at least a few of the distance image points are spaced apart from one another in the scanning direction.

Recording of distance profiles

The invention relates to a method for measuring distance wherein pulsed electromagnetic radiation is emitted by at least one transmitter and the reflected signal impulses are detected by at least one receiver. According to the invention, the distances of the objects, at which the emitted radiation impulses are reflected, is measured by determining the propagation time of the impulses. The noise is measured by a receiver and moments in time during which a noise threshold of the receiver is exceeded, are determined, and modifications of the noise produced by the signal impulses are detected by the communicating of a plurality of individual measurements respectively comprising said moments in time.

Distance measurement

A system and method for the taking of a large number of distance images having distance picture elements. Electromagnetic radiation is transmitted in the form of transmission pulses at objects, and reflected echo pulses are detected. Measurements are made by determining the pulse time of flight of the distances of objects which respectively form a distance picture element and at which the transmission pulses are reflected. A time measuring device carries out a plurality of associated individual measurements for each distance image to be taken. Stored event lists of all time measuring channels are read out and evaluated in order to convert the respective time information contained in the event lists into distance values corresponding to the distance picture elements.

Taking distance images

The invention relates to an optoelectronic detection device, especially a laser scanner, comprising a transmitting device for transmitting preferably pulsed electromagnetic radiation, also comprising at least one receiving device which is associated with the transmitting device and at least one deflection device which is used to guide radiation which is transmitted by the transmitting device into a monitoring area and radiation which is reflected by the monitoring area to the receiving device. The transmitting device comprises several, preferably two, separate transmitting modules which respectively transmit radiation along a specific transmission path.

Optoelectric sensing device with common deflection device

A method for monitoring a protected zone in which a light ray is transmited by an apparatus in the direction of the protected zone, a light ray reflected/remitted by an object disposed in the protected zone is received and the distance between the apparatus and the object is determined. The arrangement is such that at least two light rays are transmitted which include an angle between them; that, with an object present inside the protected zone, a first light ray reflected/remitted by the object is received; that, with an object-free protected zone, a second light ray reflected/remitted from a location disposed outside the protected zone is received; and that the distance from the apparatus of both the object and the second location is determined. Furthermore the present invention relates to a corresponding apparatus.

Method and an apparatus for monitoring a protected zone

The invention relates to an optoelectronic detection device, in particular a laser scanner, comprising at least one transmitter unit for the transmission of electromagnetic radiation, preferably pulsed electromagnetic radiation, at least one receiver unit associated with the transmitter unit and at least one radiation deflection device with which radiation transmitted by the transmitter unit can be guided into a monitored zone and radiation reflected from the monitored zone can be guided onto the receiver unit, with the front of the radiation propagating in the direction of the deflection device being of elongated shape and the deflection device being formed and being movable relative to the elongated radiation front such that the radiation front reflected into the monitored zone adopts different orientations in space in dependence on the position of the moved deflection device.

Optoelectronic detection device

An apparatus for determining a distance profile has a light transmitter for transmitting pulse-like light signals in the direction of a monitored space, a light receiver for receiving light signals reflected/remitted from the monitored space and an evaluation unit for determining distance values in dependence on the light transit time between the transmission and reception of the light signals, with the light transmitter being designed for the simultaneous transmission of a plurality of light signals in the direction of a plurality of reflection/remission points disposed in the monitored space and spaced apart from one another, and with the light receiver including a plurality of photodiodes for the reception of light signals reflected/remitted by the reflection/remission points.

Apparatus for determining a distance profile

An optoelectronic distance measuring device has at least one transmitter unit to transmit pulsed electromagnetic radiation, at least one receiver unit associated with the transmitter unit to receive the reflected radiation and an evaluation unit to determine at least the distance of objects reflecting the transmitted radiation, with a series connection of load resistors being connected after the receiver unit and a separate amplifier being associated with each load resistor to amplify the subsidiary pulse produced at the respective load resistor from an incoming, successively attenuated received pulse.
