In one embodiment of the present invention, a production method for an electromagnetic switching device includes the following steps in the sequence listed: producing a one-piece switching chamber, producing a contact bridge carrier and equipping the contact bridge carrier with movable contact bridges, wherein the contact bridges include a plurality of primary contact bridges and at least one auxiliary contact bridge; inserting the contact bridge carrier equipped with the movable contact bridges into the switching chamber; inserting partition elements into the switching chamber so that each partition element is arranged between a bridge contact point of one of the primary contact bridges and a bridge contact point of one of the auxiliary contact bridges, and equipping the switching chamber with fixed primary counter-contact points; fixing primary covers to the switching chamber so that the primary covers cover the primary counter-contact points and fix the partition elements in the switching chamber.

A contactor includes a housing having a mounting side, an operating side, main connector surfaces and side surfaces. The operating side lies opposite the mounting side and is connected to the mounting side by main connector surfaces and side surfaces. The main connector surfaces lie opposite one another and the side surfaces lie opposite one another. The operating side has a raised central area and two edge areas, which border a central area on both sides of the central area. The edge areas border the main connector areas and are connected to the central area by way of an additional connector area in each case. Main terminals, connected to load contacts of the contactor, have main receptacle openings into which main conductors are fed from one of the main connector surfaces. Additional terminals have receptacle openings into which additional conductors are fed from additional connector surfaces.

An electromagnetic switching device for controlling a branch includes, in at least one embodiment, a housing with a length in a longitudinal direction, with a first end side, which is oriented at right angles with respect to the longitudinal direction, and with a second end side, which is opposite the first end side and is oriented at right angles with respect to the longitudinal direction; a control coil, which is arranged in the housing, for actuating an electrical switch with a first and second coil contact; and a first and second connection element, which are arranged partially in the housing. In at least one embodiment, the connection elements are capable of being displaced in the longitudinal direction relative to the housing between a first and a second end position in such a way that they are freely accessible on one of the end sides in the first end position, are freely accessible on the other of the end sides in a second end position, and are electrically connected to the associated coil contacts both in the first end position and in the second end position.

A connecting system includes an electromagnetic switchgear, especially contactor, and a connector. In at least one embodiment, the system makes it easier to connect auxiliary and control lines. For this purpose, the connecting system, in at least one embodiment, includes at least one electromagnetic switchgear, especially a contactor. The switchgear includes a plurality of auxiliary contact connections and a coil connection terminal block. The coil connection terminal block is configured in such a manner that the coil connections lie in a plane with at least one auxiliary contact connection. The connecting system also includes, in at least one embodiment, a connector for simultaneously contacting the coil and auxiliary contact connections of one or more switchgears which connections lie in one plane. The connector has an internal wiring for electrically interconnecting the coil and/or auxiliary contact connections.

A switching system includes switchgear that can be contacted via pin contacts. In at least one embodiment, the switching system is provided with pin contacts and mating pin contacts and at least one device(s) for the transmission of force onto the switchgear, thereby allowing to establish and interrupt contact to the switchgear even when only little space is available.

An electromagnetic switching device includes an electromagnetic drive device and at least one electrical contact that, when a starting current is applied to the drive device, can be transferred by the drive device from a disconnect position (contact opened) into a bridging position (contact closed). When the switching device is fully installed, the contact can be blocked in the disconnect position and can be mechanically blocked in the disconnect position by an arresting element that can be connected to the switching device. As a result, the contact remains in the disconnect position even when the starting current is applied to the drive device.

Electromagnetic switching device

An electromagnetic switching device includes an electromagnetic drive apparatus and has a moving contact element which can be operated by this drive apparatus. The moving contact element can be switched between a bridging position, which connects a pair of stationary contacts, and a disconnected position, which disconnects the stationary contacts. The electromagnetic switching device also has an actuating apparatus having an actuating element which interacts with the moving contact element and can be moved between an operating position and a safe position. In the operating position, the moving contact element can be switched by the electromagnetic drive apparatus between the bridging position and the disconnected position. Further, by movement of the actuating element to the safe position, the moving contact element can be blocked from moving from the bridging position to the disconnected position, and can be blocked in the disconnected position.

In a vacuum contactor, the armature is initially deflected from an armature rest position through an initial movement distance, and then through a driving movement distance to an armature operating position when a pull-in current is applied to a drive coil. An operating element is deflected from an element rest position to an element operating position by the armature only while the latter is passing through the driving movement distance. This makes it possible to achieve a good tripping characteristic of the vacuum contractor.

A connection terminal is provided which makes it possible to connect two different, side-by-side, unstripped conductors when working with a narrow bed width. This is accomplished by providing a cutting member having a plurality of contact cutting edges of variable height, in conjunction with a lever whose clamping member presses the inserted conductors against the contact cutting edges until the conductor cores are contacted.

The invention concerns an arrangement to couple an auxiliary switch mechanism to an electrical switchgear unit, preferrably a contactor, with a contact slide piece onto which the moving contact pieces are mounted, and a switchgear housing onto which the switchgear fixed-mounted contact pieces are mounted. The contact slide pieces of the switchgear unit and the auxiliary switch mechanism are mounted so that they can slide transversely to the direction of connection. A projection of the auxiliary switch mechanism is positioned in a cutout of the contactor in an interlocking fashion. The connection of contact slide pieces similarly takes place in a positive, interlocking fashion. A lock makes an effective connection with the position of the contact slide piece in the auxiliary switch mechanism, thereby preventing the removal of the auxiliary switch mechanism when the unit is switched on.

A contact arrangement for switchgear with multiple disconnects by contact points connected in parallel of two contact bridges aligned in a contact actuation link uses a spring collar for a contact pressure spring. The spring collar has cutouts transverse to the spring-action direction into which the contact bridges with the spring collars can be inserted and locked in place transverse to their longitudinal direction. The spring collar is rounded at two facing sliding surfaces in the contact actuation link aligned transverse to the longitudinal direction of the contact bridges. This assures optimal fitting of the contact bridges to the fixed contact components without jamming the spring collar in the alignment.
