A fuel injector, including a valve insert and a plug extrusion coating, is described, the valve insert including a valve sear and a valve housing. The valve housing has an alignment device, which is equipped to align the valve insert in an injection molding die, and the plastic extrusion coating has a second alignment device which is equipped to align the fuel injector during assembly in an internal combustion engine.

Fuel injector

A fuel-injection device has a low-noise and pivotable structure. The fuel-injection device includes at least a fuel injector and a receiving bore in a cylinder head for the fuel-injector, and a decoupling element between a valve housing of the fuel injector and a wall of the receiving bore. The decoupling element is captively situated on the fuel injector prior to its installation in the receiving bore in that a securing ring is mounted below the decoupling element at the outer periphery of the fuel injector and the securing ring is a closed plastic ring. The fuel-injection device is particularly suited for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of a mixture-compressing internal combustion engine having externally supplied ignition.

Fuel-injection device

A fuel injector, including a valve insert and a plug extrusion coating, is described, the valve insert including a valve seat and a valve housing. The valve housing has an alignment device, which is equipped to align the valve insert in an injection molding die, and the plastic extrusion coating has a second alignment device which is equipped to align the fuel injector during assembly in an internal combustion engine.

Method for producing a fuel injector

A method for installing a sealing ring in a ring groove of an injector, in particular a fuel injector, in which the diameter of the sealing ring is enlarged with the aid of an enlarging tool and is inserted into the ring groove, and the enlarged sealing ring accommodated in the ring groove is reshaped to a predefined sealing dimension with the aid of a calibration tool. For the purpose of shifting a residual ring gap remaining in the ring groove during the reshaping process to the groove flank of the ring groove facing away from the combustion chamber, the reshaping process of the sealing ring is carried out by removing the calibration tool from the fuel injector.

Method for installing a sealing ring

A fuel injector for an internal combustion engine includes: an electromagnetic actuating element having a solenoid coil, a core and a valve casing as the outer solenoid circuit component, and a movable valve-closure body, which cooperates with a valve-seat surface assigned to a valve-seat body. The core and a connection pipe are fixedly connected in an inner opening of a thin-walled valve sleeve and the valve casing at the outer circumference of the valve sleeve is fixedly connected to the valve sleeve by being pressed in/on.

A fuel injector which includes an actuator having an electrical contact element, a plug, a fuel supply pipe, and an injection-molded housing part. The plug has a base body, an electrical connection element for an electrical connection with the electrical contact element of the actuator, and a rib which projects from the base body, the injection-molded housing part surrounding the electrical connection element of the plug and being injection-molded on the rib of the plug and the fuel supply pipe.

Fuel injector having a reduced number of components

A fuel injector for fuel-injection systems of internal combustion engines. The fuel injector includes an electromagnetic actuating element having a solenoid coil, a core and a valve cover as external solenoid circuit component, and a movable valve-closure element, which cooperates with a valve-seat surface assigned to a valve-seat body. The core and a connection pipe are fixedly connected in an inner opening of a thin-walled valve sleeve by being pressed into place, and the valve cover at the outer circumference of the valve sleeve is firmly connected to the valve sleeve by being pressed onto it. The firm press-fitted connection of in each case two of these metallic components of the fuel injector is characterized by the fact that at least one of the partner components has in its press-fitting region a structure with score marks, and/or the particular press-fitting region has an intake rounding in at least one transition to an adjoining component section. To safely contain abrasion particles produced in the press-fitting action, starting from the press-fitting region of a partner component, first a recessed region adjoins, which is followed by a press lip, which radially projects further to the outside on the outer contour of this one component partner.

Fuel injector having press-fitting structures

A fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines is described. The fuel injector includes an electromagnetic actuating element having a magnetic coil, a core and a valve jacket as the outer magnetic circuit component and a movable valve-closure member which interacts with a valve-seat surface assigned to a valve-seat member. The core and a connecting tube in an inner opening of a thin-walled valve sleeve and the valve jacket on the outer circumference of the valve sleeve are firmly connected to the valve sleeve by pressing them therein/thereon. The fixed press connection between two of these metallic components of the fuel injector is characterized in that at least one of the component partners has a structure including grooves in its press area and/or the particular press area has an inlet rounding in at least one transition to an adjacent component section.

A fuel injection valve has a connection piece for a fuel-supply line, a valve-seat support having a valve-seat body provided with a valve opening, a solenoid for activating a valve member, which controls the valve opening, and a plastic extrusion coat enclosing the connection piece, the solenoid and the valve-seat support. To achieve a cost-effective manufacture by requiring fewer components for the injection valve and providing a reduction in the assembly costs, the connection piece and the valve-seat support are made of plastic and designed as one-piece plastic housing together with the plastic extrusion coat. The yoke element for closing the magnetic circuit of the solenoid, which extends across the magnetic core and magnetic armature, is a magnetic material extrusion coat, which encloses the solenoid coil and adjoins the magnetic core in a gapless manner and ends in front of the magnetic armature with a gap clearance.

Injection valve for fuel injection

A fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines is described. The fuel injector includes an electromagnetic actuating element having a magnetic coil, a core, and a valve jacket as an outer magnetic circuit component and a movable valve closing body which interacts with a valve seat surface assigned to a valve seat body. The core and a connecting tube are fixedly joined in an inner opening of a thin-walled valve sleeve and the valve jacket at the outer circumference of the valve sleeve by pressing in or on. The fixed compression joint of two of these metallic components of the fuel injector is characterized in that at least one of the components has a surface-roughening structure in its compression area, it being possible to create the surface-roughening structure using a laser and metal oxides being deposited on the structure.

In a fuel injection valve, the direct attachment of a protective sleeve to the valve housing has the effect that breathing of the inside of the valve can take place without spray water or other fluids penetrating into the inside of the valve (coil space). The fluid is, rather, held in a space with many passages. Corrosion on the contact pins or on the coil wire is, therefore, ruled out. The fuel injection valve is particularly suitable for use in fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing internal combustion engines with externally supplied ignition.
