A readjusting device is provided for compensating wear of a brake pad or multiple brake pads and/or a brake disc of a pneumatically actuatable disc brake for a vehicle. The readjusting device has a mechanical actuator, and the mechanical actuator converts a rotational movement of a brake lever into a rotational movement of a shaft. The shaft rotates at least one threaded spindle which acts on one of the brake pads. The readjusting device can carry out an advancing movement and a return movement of the threaded spindle, and the advancing movement and the return movement of the threaded spindle can be terminated by switching one or more couplings.

Adjusting device for a disc brake

A disc brake for utility vehicles includes a brake disc, a brake caliper spanning the brake disc, a brake carrier, and an application-side brake pad and a reaction-side brake pad, of which at least the application-side brake lining is accommodated in a lining slot of the brake carrier. The brake caliper houses a brake application device having a single pressure plunger arranged to exert a brake application force on the application-side brake lining via a pressure plate. The brake is configured with one or both of an operative plane of the pressure plate being offset in the direction of the exit side at a distance from a plane of symmetry of the disc brake, and a bevel on the exit side of at least the application-side brake lining.

A disk brake actuated preferably by compressed air, for a motor vehicle, includes an application mechanism. The application mechanism has a brake rotary lever which acts on a traverse in which there is arranged at least one readjusting spindle which acts on an application-side brake pad, having a readjusting device, and having a quick contact apparatus. The quick contact apparatus effects an advancing movement which is superposed on an actuation of the disk brake during the phase of overcoming an air gap. The quick contact apparatus has an intermediate element which is variable in terms of its position and which has at least a wedge-shaped design.

A brake pad retention system is provided for a disc brake of a motor vehicle, in particular of a commercial vehicle. The disc brake includes a brake caliper which engages over a brake disc, a brake carrier which is positionally fixed on the vehicle, the brake carrier having entry-side and exit-side carrier horns and having a bridge which connects the carrier horns to one another, and at least one brake pad which is provided with a pad carrier plate and a friction pad fastened thereto and which is guided in a pad shaft formed by the carrier horns and by the bridge. At least one of the carrier horns of the carrier and the support surface, adjacent thereto, of the pad carrier plate can be fixed to one another in a positively locking manner with play. The at least one brake pad is held in the pad shaft under spring loading exerted by a pad retention spring which extends transversely with respect to the axial direction of the brake disc and which is radially deflectable on the brake pad. The at least one pad retention spring is arranged such that the pad retention spring, in the assembled state, presses the brake pad away from the bridge part of the brake carrier and against the carrier horns without play.

A regenerative drive system for generating a rotary movement, which is in the form of a direct hub drive and includes an electric machine that works on the piezoelectric principle, more particularly in the form of a swash plate motor is provided. The drive system can be fitted in vehicles such as box trucks, truck tractors and trailer vehicles.

A disc brake for a vehicle, in particular for a commercial vehicle, is provided. The disc brake includes at least one application-side brake pad and a back-side brake pad held in a form-fitting manner in a brake carrier. At least the application-side brake pad is provided with at least one pad-retaining spring which is supported at least on one brake carrier horn of the brake carrier and exerts a radially outwardly acting tensile force on the brake pad.

A disc brake for a vehicle, in particular for a commercial vehicle, includes a brake carrier which receives at least two brake pads in respective clamping side and rear side pad slots, with the at least one brake pad on the clamping side being held in its pad slot in a form-fitting manner. The at least one brake pad on the clamping side is provided with at least one pad retaining spring which is supported at least on a brake carrier horn of the pad slot of the brake carrier. The at least one clamping spring exerts a tensile force acting radially outward on the brake pad. A brake pad set for the disc brake is also provided.

A disc brake, in particular for a motor vehicle, has a brake application device, preferably with a brake rotary lever, at least one spindle unit having at least one threaded tube with an external thread that cooperates with an internal thread of a bridge, and at least one bidirectional wear adjustment device which is coupled to the brake application device, preferably to the brake rotary lever. The bidirectional wear adjustment device has an adjustment arrangement and at least one preloading arrangement which is designed to influence a flank position of a thread pairing of the external thread of the at least one threaded tube and the associated internal thread of the bridge.

A disc brake runs wet by use of cooling fluid, in particular for a road vehicle, and includes stationary stator discs arranged in parallel to and at a distance from one other, and between which in each case a rotatable rotor disc is arranged. During braking, the radially extending stator discs and rotor discs can be pressed against one another, closing an air gap and, after the brake has been released, can be separated from one another, forming the air gap. The brake is designed such that the rotor discs have cooling channels which can be filled with cooling fluid immediately before or at the start of braking.

A disc brake for a motor vehicle has a brake application device, a floating caliper that reaches over a brake disc, preferably a lining wear adjustment device, and a brake carrier having guiding surfaces opposite each other in the circumferential direction of the brake disc. Between the guiding surfaces, on the brake application side and the reaction side of the brake disc, at least one respective brake pad having a lining carrier and having at least one friction lining is guided movably parallel to an axis of rotation of the brake disc and can be actuated by a brake application force. At least one restoring device which supports at least the reaction-side brake pad on the brake carrier via the lining carrier, wherein the restoring device includes at least two restoring elements, which are attached to the lining carrier of at least the reaction-side brake pad in such a way that the restoring elements are guided movably parallel to the axis of rotation of the brake disc.

A measuring arrangement for brake application force measurement of a disc brake, includes two components of the disc brake which can be displaced relative to each other along a travel path when a brake application force is applied, at least one brake application force sensor with a housing; a measurement object which can be permanently connected to one or the other of the two components and having at least one element or at least one target object which has at least one such element for contact-free interaction with the brake application force measurement sensor; and an evaluation unit. The brake application force sensor is designed for the detection of a displacement of the measurement object along the path with the evaluation unit for the conversion of the detected displacement in a measurement variable as a measurement for the brake application force. The brake application force sensor and the measurement object can be mounted with each of the two components in a removable manner. The measuring arrangement is characterized in that the brake application force sensor is arranged outside the path of the measurement object and with the observation direction thereof arranged perpendicular to the path.

A disc brake for a commercial vehicle is equipped with a wear adjustment device having two adjustment spindles and a slip clutch actuated when a certain torque is exceeded. The slip clutch is designed such that it can be installed in existing installation spaces. The slip clutch is a safety adapter that is pressed onto the end region of each adjustment spindle via a press fit. In order to achieve the press fit, an inner contour of the safety adapter deviates from a circular shape and that an oversize is selected such that sufficient press forces are generated. The disc brake is particularly suited for heavy trucks and cantilevers.

A wet-running multi-disc brake includes stator discs, which are arranged in parallel to and at a distance from each other in a rotationally fixed manner, and a rotatable rotor disc positioned in each case between the stator discs. The radially extending stator discs and rotor discs can be pressed against one another during braking by way of a brake application device while overcoming a clearance. The wet-running multi-disc brake is designed such that the brake application device can be mechanically actuated and, via an actuating unit, engages a self-energizing device, which includes a pressure ring that can be pressed towards the rotor discs during braking independently from the rotational direction of the rotor discs.
