A method of determining an appropriate tracking device response scheme includes obtaining, from a tracking device, a tracking parameter indicative of the tracking device being within a vicinity of the user equipment. The method determines, based on the tracking parameter, a verification parameter indicative of an identity associated with the user equipment. The method determines whether the verification parameter meets a verification criterion indicative of a stalker tracking device. In accordance with a determination that the verification parameter meets the verification criterion, the method applies a stalker response scheme.

Systems and methods of registration of an anonymous tag having an owner with a location service include authenticating a tag sensor associated with the owner of the tag with the location service. The tag is placed within a defined transmission distance of the tag from the tag sensor associated with the owner. The tag is activated while it is within the defined distance from the tag sensor to initiate transmission of the self identification. The transmitted self identification is received at the tag sensor to detect the tag. It is determined that the detected tag is not yet registered with the location service and an identification of the tag and the owner is transmitted to the location service from the tag sensor to register the tag as belonging to the owner at the location service to limit registration of the tag at the location service.

Methods, systems and computer program products for registration of and anonymous communications related to tagged objects

Data for detected events and predicted events, associated with a user device, are stored. The detected events may be associated with inputs received via the user device, and the predicted events may represent predicted future inputs to the user device. The predicted events may be evaluated to identify an erroneous predicted event, such as a predicted event that differs significantly from a corresponding detected event or a predicted associated with a time period when no corresponding detected event occurs. The erroneous predicted events and set of other prior predicted events are selected to be discarded. For example, the selected set of prior predicted events to discard may be associated with a period of time corresponding to the erroneous predicted event. Instructions may be sent to applications executed by the user device to disregard the selected predicted events.

Tags may be grouped into a tag cluster to be represented by a master tag. Tag transmission reports may be received from one or more tag readers that receive wireless transmissions from a plurality of tags. The control command may instruct each tag of the tag cluster except the master tag to stop broadcasting wireless transmissions. The tags in the tag cluster will be represented by the master tag.

Application instructions for a sub-system processing unit are received through an application programming interface (API). The application instructions control a sub-system processing unit to process wireless messages directed to a main processing unit. A message rule may be generated based on the received application instructions and predefined conditions and actions stored in the sub-system processing unit. Responsive to receiving the wireless messages from sensors and/or tags external to the wireless terminal, an action may be performed at the sub-system processing unit according to the generated message rule to control and/or reduce processing of the wireless messages by the main processing unit.
