This disclosure describes apparatuses, methods, and techniques that enable a computing device to support a dynamic range of audio quality, varying bandwidths, varying sampling rates, numerous effective number of bits (ENOBs) resolutions, conserve power during an overall usage of the computing device, and enhance a user experience. To do so, the computing device utilizes a reconfigurable analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The reconfigurable ADC includes a successive-approximation-register (SAR) ADC, a noise-canceling circuit, and a noise-shaping circuit. The reconfigurable ADC can selectively operate in different modes of operation, in part, by enabling or disabling the noise-canceling circuit and the noise-shaping circuit.

Electrically-isolated and moisture-resistant designs for wearable devices

The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for activating a circuit of an implant device. Consistent with one implementation, an implant device is provided with a sensor including a working electrode (WE) and a counter electrode (CE). The sensor may be configured to generate a first current at the CE when the implant device is implanted in a body of a subject. A sensing circuit may also be provided that is electrically coupled to the WE of the sensor. The sensing circuit may be activated based on the first current and utilize the sensor to measure one or more parameters of an individual or other subject.

Systems and methods for activating a circuit of an implant device

A vision traffic marker network system includes a management system and a plurality of self-powered wireless traffic nodes configured to collect data from a wireless mesh network. Each wireless traffic node is configured to function as a mesh network traffic node and in each mesh network traffic node, the mesh network traffic node is configured to exchange data between the traffic nodes. Each wireless traffic node in the vision traffic marker system is communicatively coupled to any server and client machine. The management system includes a data acquisition layer, a processing layer, a communication layer, and a management layer. The acquisition layer is configured to receive data from the plurality of wireless traffic nodes and transmit the acquired data to the processing layer so that the acquired data is processed and filtered before the data is broadcasted and distributed the plurality of wireless traffic nodes which in turn exchange or share the data with any server and client machine. The management layer is configured to perform at least one of the function including: managing and controlling other layers, assigning each node with a role to perform a specific function, and reporting the information to a stakeholder for maintenance.

Wireless mesh network distributed vision traffic marker and method thereof

An electrical circuit can bias a sensor, measure current from a sensor, or both of these. In some examples, the electrical circuit can include a comparator having two input terminals and an output terminal. The comparator can be configured to compare input signals applied to the two input terminals and generate an output signal at the output terminal based on the comparison. The electrical circuit can include a switch having a control terminal that is electrically coupled to the output terminal of the comparator. The switch can also include a first connection terminal that is electrically coupled to the sensor and a second connection terminal that is electrically coupled to a charge-packet source. The switch can be switchable between (i) an open state to electrically decouple the sensor from the charge-packet source, and (ii) a closed state to electrically couple the sensor to the charge-packet source.

A vision traffic marker network system comprises a plurality of vision traffic markers or traffic nodes configured to capture information such as an event, an environment, a profile, or a condition of an object such as vehicle, human, combination thereof, or the like, for example. The environment information may be time of day, day of week, weather, traffic condition, and the like. The nodes may be one of a traffic node, an ambient node, a repeater, a gateway, or a combination thereof. These nodes are arranged in network neighborhoods and configured to communicate with at least one of the communication networks with at least one of the vision traffic markers or nodes, a control system, the automotive, a server, a global navigation system, other non-vision devices, traffic lights, street lights, electronic devices, or combination thereof, via one more links, either wirelessly or wired communication. The vision traffic marker network system analysis, process, distribute, and report the information to any vision traffic marker network system, client machines, and a server over a network.

Intelligent distributed vision traffic marker and method thereof

The technology described herein relates to auxiliary wakeup for low-power devices. In an implementation, an auxiliary path for waking up a radio frequency (RF) radio of a low-power device is disclosed. The auxiliary path includes peak detector circuitry, pattern detector circuitry and a battery switch. The peak detector circuitry is operable to detect the presence of a RF field at a RF antenna of the low-power device. The pattern detector circuitry is enabled by the presence of a RF field and is operable to detect a time pattern in an amplitude envelope of a wakeup signal received at the RF antenna of the low-power device. The battery switch is operable to connect battery power to a RF radio of the low-power device when the time pattern is detected. Once powered, the RF radio establishes communication with a wakeup device.

A device for generating thermal images includes a low resolution infrared (IR) sensor supported within a housing and having a field of view. The IR sensor is configured to generate thermal images of objects within the field of view having a first resolution. A spatial information sensor supported within the housing is configured to determine a position for each of the thermal images generated by the IR sensor. A processing unit supported within the housing is configured to receive the thermal images and to combine the thermal images based on the determined positions of the thermal images to produce a combined thermal image having a second resolution that is greater than the first resolution.

An example continuous glucose monitor includes a printed circuit board ('PCB') having first and second outer layers and an inner layer, the inner layer disposed between the first and second outer layers; a semiconductor package having four corner portions and a plurality of pins, the semiconductor package coupled to the first outer layer of the PCB via the plurality of pins; an electrical ground plane formed on the PCB and coupled to at least one pin at each of a first, second, and third of the four corner portions, and not coupled to any pins at a fourth corner portion; an electrical contact for a sensor wire formed on the second outer layer of the PCB; a sensor trace having a first portion disposed on the first outer layer, a second portion disposed on the inner layer, and a third portion disposed on the second outer layer, the sensor trace having a first end coupled to a first pin of the plurality of pins and a second end coupled to the electrical contact for the sensor wire, the first pin at the fourth corner of the semiconductor package; a plurality of guard rings disposed on the PCB, each guard ring encircling one of the portions of the sensor trace; and an encapsulant disposed around a perimeter of the semiconductor package, the encapsulant covering (i) the plurality of pins, (ii) the first portion of the sensor trace, (iii) the third portion of the sensor trace, wherein an upper surface of the semiconductor package remains exposed.

A vertical Hall Effect sensor is provided having a high degree of symmetry between its bias modes, can be adapted to exhibit a small pre-spinning systematic offset, and complies with the minimal spacing requirements allowed by the manufacturing technology (e.g., CMOS) between the inner contacts. A voltage sensing circuit includes a voltage to current converter, an integrator, a sample and hold amplifier, and a modulator. The voltage to current converter produces a modulated current corresponding to an input voltage. The integrator demodulates the modulated current and produces a voltage sum of the demodulated current. The sample and hold amplifier samples the voltage sum and provides an output voltage corresponding to the voltage sum. The modulator modulates the output voltage and provides the modulated voltage to the voltage to current converter as a feedback voltage.

The system includes a dynamic element matching (DEM) control system for controlling the switch network to implement a second order DEM rotation scheme in which the plurality of signal generating elements are switched to each configuration in the plurality of configurations in a first sequence and then switched to each configuration in the plurality in a second sequence, the second sequence being the reverse of the first sequence.
