Methods for drying seeds comprising: a) contacting seeds with zeolite particles and allowing said zeolite particles to take up moisture from said seeds; or b) passing an airflow over zeolite particles, thereby allowing said zeolite particles to dry the air in said airflow and passing said dried airflow over the seeds; or c) placing said seeds and zeolite particles in an air-tight container and allowing said zeolite particles to take up the moisture evaporated by said seed.

Method for drying seed

The present invention is in the field of product marking and identification, more in particular to methods of differentiating products or product versions and to methods of product authentication. The present invention further relates to marker systems for product authentication, to a kit of parts for applying a marker system to a product and identifying the marked product, in particular seed, to seed coating compositions and to coated seed.

Multi-level markers

The present invention relates the methods, compositions and devices for priming of plant seed, preferably seed of crop plants, and seeds obtained with the methods, compositions and devices, wherein the metabolic activity necessary for germination of the seed is not controlled by water but rather by the partial oxygen pressure and/or partial carbon dioxide pressure. In the methods of the invention, the partial oxygen or carbon dioxide pressure may be measured by oxygen/carbon dioxide sensitive fluorescent dye. The invention further relates to processes for producing a primed seed lot of a plant species and to a container comprising primed seed under an atmosphere with a partial oxygen pressure that is below the critical oxygen pressure.
