In one general aspect, an interactive event-based information system is disclosed that includes an event-based data store for storing information about events selectively extracted from a plurality of machine-readable information sources. A live feed extraction interface is responsive to the event-based data store and has a feed publication output operative to publish a live feed of selected information about events. A live event feed user interface includes a live feed display interface operative to present a succession of visual information elements corresponding to events covered in the live event feed, and a drill-down interface responsive to user interaction to provide access to further information about the information elements from the data store.

A method and device relating to destination prediction of communication messages is presented. The device may include an analyzer configured to analyze a message entered in a universal input field. The analyzer may also provide a search variable based on the entered message. The device may also include a or which may be configured to receive the search variable and determine at least one suggested destination based on the search variable. The prediction of communication destinations eliminates the need for various menus and sub-menus. Thus, a user may send a communication message without the need of lengthy navigations.

Wireless communication terminals include a memory, a wireless communication module configured to communicate with other communication terminals over a wireless interface, and a controller that is configured to store a digital information signal in the memory and to receive a distribution command from a user of the wireless communication terminal. The controller is further configured, responsive to receiving the distribution command, to send a share notification signal through the wireless communication module to a remotely located other communication terminal, and, responsive to receiving an access request from the other communication terminal, to send the digital information signal to the other communication terminal. In one general aspect, the application discloses a data visualization method that includes accessing data tables and receiving an axis binding definition for a particular visualization that relates values in a first of the tables to sets of fields in a second of the tables. A marking indication can then be received that selects one of the values in the first of the tables, and a set of fields in the second table is accessed based on the marking indication and the axis binding definition. This accessed set of fields is presented in the particular visualization for which the axis binding definition was received.

A database of user preferences for a high quality picture is maintained. Preferences may be generated over time by tracking attributes of pictures that the user has deleted or failed to select for storage. When the camera is in preview mode, the camera may automatically capture image data for one or more pictures as a background operation. When the user commands the taking of a picture, the camera will capture image data for a user photo. A comparison may be made to determine which one of the automatically taken picture or the user photo has a higher correlation to user preferences for a quality photo. If the user photo has higher correlation, it may be retained in the customary manner for digital pictures. If the automatically taken photo has higher correlation, the user may be given the option to select the user photo or the automatically taken photo for retention.

In one general aspect, the application discloses a data visualization method in which at least two retrieved data tables are associated based on a selection of at least one common field. A visualization is displayed for data from a first of the tables and input for query devices is received to filter data for a second of the tables. The displayed visualization for the first table can then be updated in response to the received query device input for the second table based on the created association.

The present invention relates to a possibility of communicating emotional information between a first and a second portable equipment. A first portable equipment for communication in a wireless communication system comprises an input portion adapted to receive information input by a user, an editing portion adapted to edit settings of a second portable equipment in response to a user input and to generate corresponding setting information, and a transmitting portion adapted to transmit setting information generated by the editing portion to the second portable equipment in said wireless communication system. A second portable equipment for communication in a wireless communication system comprises a receiving portion adapted to receive setting information from the first portable equipment in a wireless communication system, and a control portion adapted to change settings of the second portable equipment depending on received setting information and to output an indication signal to a user to the changed settings.

The invention relates to a method for providing alerts in a mobile device, and more particularly a method for providing a shortcut for displaying and hiding alerts by providing an event list that is shown automatically or accessible by a shortcut button. The invention also relates to a corresponding mobile device. Thus, the invention provides a method for providing alerts in a mobile device having a display and a keypad. The method comprises the steps of: detecting an event; adding an event presentation () associated with the event on an event list (); and showing the event list or a symbol () on the display. The event list is shown automatically for critical alerts and is accessible with one key stroke for less critical alerts. The user can choose to hide the list, also with a single key stroke, or act on an event.
