A method for controlling a turbocharger system fluidly connected to an exhaust manifold of a combustion engine and an exhaust after treatment system. The turbocharger system comprises a turbocharger turbine operable by exhaust gases from the exhaust manifold, and a tank with pressurized gas, the tank being fluidly connectable to the turbocharger turbine. The method comprises the steps of: determining a NOx parameter being indicative of, or correlated to, NOx emissions from the exhaust after treatment system; and injecting pressurized gas from the tank to drive the turbocharger turbine based on the determined NOx parameter, wherein a determined NOx parameter above a pre-defined first threshold determines that pressurized gas from the tank is injected.

Method for controlling a turbocharger system with a pressurized gas tank connected to an exhaust manifold of a combustion engine

The invention provides to a method for controlling a vehicle () with an internal combustion engine () and a transmission (), the transmission being arranged to automatically provide shifts between a plurality of gear ratios between the engine and at least one driven wheel () of the vehicle, characterized by the steps of: &#x2014;registering (S, S) a decrease of a demanded torque from an engine control input device () of the vehicle, &#x2014;controlling (S, S) in response to the demanded torque decrease the rotational speed of the engine so as to not be below a rotational speed threshold value which is above an idle speed of the engine, and where said rotational speed threshold value is determined so as for a transmission gear down shift to be avoided.

A method for controlling fuel injection of a combustion engine and a corresponding system includes providing at least a first predetermined air-fuel mixture map and determining a first air-fuel ratio based on at least one engine operating parameter and the at least first predetermined air-fuel mixture map; determining a second air-fuel ratio that is offset with a first constant value from the first air-fuel ratio, determining if a first operating mode or a second operating mode is selected; controlling engine fuel injection according to the first air-fuel ratio when a currently requested fueling rate results in a smaller air-fuel ratio than the first air-fuel ratio and the first operating mode is selected; or alternatively controlling engine fuel injection according to the second air-fuel ratio when a currently requested fueling rate results in a smaller air-fuel ratio than the second air-fuel ratio and the second operating mode is selected.
