An Application Execution Server and a method for managing a Background Process which is associated with a Rich Internet Application which is accessible via a Web Browser of an Internet Enabled User Device. The Application Execution Server comprises a Background Process Manager which is adapted to create a Background Process, in response to receiving a request for such a process from the Rich Internet Application, the Background Process being adapted to recognize a triggered event associated with said associated rich Internet application and to invoke the Rich Internet Application, irrespective of whether the Web Browser and/or the Rich Internet Application is presently running or not.

Method and arrangement for managing persistent rich internet applications

A user device executes a web application on the user device and transmits a request to an application execution server. The request requests that a background process associated with the web application be started at the application execution server. The user device adds an icon associated with the web application to a user interface of the user device, and closes execution of the web application on the user device. The user device changes an appearance of the icon in response to receiving a notification from the background process.

Managing web applications

This disclosure aims to overcome at least some of the drawbacks associated with today's content sharing applications. In one aspect, this disclosure enables decentralized sharing of content based on crypto protocols and distributed database technology (e.g., blockchain technology). It is presented a method performed by a first software container comprising an implanted agent, which is configured to run in said first software container. The method comprise the steps, performed by the implanted agent, of: resolving an Internet Protocol, IP, address and a port of the first software container; and registering a microservice identity, the IP address and the port of the first software container in a first distributed hash table for enabling a second implanted agent running in a second software container to configure a reverse proxy running in the second software container.

It is provided a method for managing a lifecycle of a software container announced in a distributed peer-to-peer repository, wherein the method is performed in a server. A non-transitory computer readable medium has instructions stored therein to be executed by a packet processing unit (PPU) in a communications network to allow a plurality of PPUs in the communications network to independently allocate IP addresses from a shared pool of IP addresses. The DHT stores a distributed block allocation table (DBAT) and a plurality of distributed address allocation tables (DAATs). Distributed IP allocation and de-allocation mechanism in a communications network having a distributed S/PGW architecture

A non-transitory computer readable medium has instructions stored therein to be executed by a packet processing unit (PPU) in a communications network to allow a plurality of PPUs in the communication network to route data packets. The plurality of PPUs collectively maintain a distributed hash table (DHT). The DHT stores a distributed routing table (DRT), where the DRT includes a DRT entry that maps a key to a value. The key is based on a destination Internet Protocol (IP) address and an access point name (APN) associated with an IP session of a user entity (UE). The value represents both an IP address of one of the plurality of PPUs currently serving the IP session of the UE and an IP session identifier that identifies, to that PPU currently serving the IP session of the UE, the IP session of the UE.

Routing in an communications network having a distributed S/PGW architecture

A distributed shared data storage such as the distributed shared memory exemplified with the DSM Master can seamlessly migrate (i.e. move) in the runtime between different nodes without affecting the user perceived performance according to embodiments of the present invention. This is achieved by using more than one replica simultaneously operating towards different master databases during the migration. That is, all distributed shared memory replicas can automatically and seamlessly be migrated to another master database, thus making the communication more flexible and efficient.

Client and a server and methods thereof for data management relating to shared data storage

A signalling gateway is arranged to allow a first client using hypertext transfer protocol, HTTP, to initiate a real-time connection to a SIP, session initiation protocol, client using SIP.
