An apparatus including analog-to-digital conversion (ADC) circuitry is disclosed. The apparatus includes a plurality of comparators susceptible to offset variation and a shuffler circuit configured to shuffle input sources to the respective comparators. Feedback circuitry is also included and is configured and arranged with the ADC circuitry to detect offset variation in the outputs of each comparators for the shuffled inputs, relative to outputs of the plurality of comparators and compensate for the offset variation in the comparators based on the offset differences between the respective comparators.

Offset compensation in ADC circuitry

The present invention relates to a system for measuring a capacitor (C). A current source () is connected in parallel to the capacitor (C) between a supply plane (Vc) and groundfor providing a current to the capacitor (C). A voltage level-shift is connected between the supply plane (Vc) and the groundin parallel to the capacitor (C) and in parallel to the current source (I). The voltage level-shift senses a voltage across the electronic component (C) and provides a level-shifted output voltage Vin dependence thereupon. The voltage level-shift comprises a resistor (R) connected in series with a current source (II) and an output port interposed between the resistor (RI) and the current source (II). The current sources (I,) and () have opposite temperature coefficients such that the current provided to the electronic component is substantially constant.

An oscillator device for generating an oscillator signal, includes a heater arrangement, a first switching element, a temperature sensor, signal process means, and voltage controlled oscillator; an output of the temperature sensor being connected to an input of the signal processing means, and an output of the signal processing means being connected to an input of the voltage controlled oscillator. The first switching element is arranged for receiving the oscillator signal from the voltage controlled oscillator and for providing a heater drive signal to either a first heater element or a second heater element of the heater arrangement based on the oscillator signal. The signal processing means comprise a synchronous demodulator.

Oscillator based on thermal diffusion

Chopper stabilized amplifiers combining low clock noise and linear frequency characteristics. The chopper stabilized amplifiers are used in offset correction circuitry, with the output of the chopper stabilized amplifiers being integrated by an integrator. The integrator operates on alternate cycles, with a sample and hold circuit sampling the integrator output when the integrator is not integrating, with the output of the sample and hold being coupled to the main amplification path to cancel offset after at least some amplification is achieved. Autozeroing of amplifiers in the offset correction circuitry is also disclosed. The invention is applicable to operational amplifiers and instrumentation amplifiers.
