The invention relates to a composition comprising polymerizable material and an anionic photocatalyst. The photocatalyst is a photolabile compound able to liberate a strong base having a pK.sub.a .gtoreq.12. The catalyst can be illustrated by the structural formula Z-A wherein Z is a photolabile group and A is a strong base, for example, a nitrogen containing compound such as, a secondary amine, a guanidine or amidine and Z is covalently bound to A.

The invention relates to a coating composition comprising (a) a radiation-curable binder composition comprising an unsaturated compound having at least one maleate, fumerate, itaconate, citraconate or mesaconate group; (b) an unsaturated vinylether compound and a compound which forms a strong exciplex with (a) or (b); that is otherwise free of a photoinitiating compound.

The invention relates to an aqueous coating dispersion comprising at least electrically conductive particles, which particles comprise at least a first binder, a conductive polymer and a non-ionic stabilizer, characterized in that the coating dispersion contains 50 to 99 wt. %, relative to the total amount of solids present, of a second binder, which second binder does not form part of the electrically conductive particles. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of the aqueous coating dispersion and to the use thereof in an anticorrosive paint, to the anticorrosive paint based on the aqueous coating dispersion according to the invention and to the metals protected herewith.

The invention relates to a dendrimer composition in which an effective number of the terminal functionalities are provided with blocking agents, and at least one active substance species is occluded in the dendrimer. A blocking agent is a sufficiently sterically sized compound which readily enters into a chemical bond with a terminal group of a dendrimer but which can also be split off from the dendrimer or can be modified without affecting the chemical structure of the dendrimer and the occluded active substance. The blocking agent can also be provided with a protecting group. The time and duration over which an active substance is released can be controlled. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of such a composition and to a process for the controlled release of the active substance.
