Methods for configuring a monitoring device to communicate with a service server are provided. The method includes the monitoring device sending a message including a monitoring device identifier used by a control server to identify the service server associated with the monitoring device, receiving one or more service server addresses associated with the identified service sever from the control server, and establishing a service connection between the monitoring device and the identified service server using the one or more addresses received from the control server. A control server adapted to configure a monitoring device in a monitoring system and a method for configuring the control server are also provided.

Monitoring system and method for connecting a monitoring device to a service server

Methods for configuring a monitoring device to communicate with a service server are provided. The method includes the monitoring device sending a message including a code used for authentication of the monitoring device to a control server, receiving one or more addresses of a service server associated with the monitoring device from the control server in response to the monitoring device being authenticated by the control server, storing the one or more addresses retrieved by the control server, and establishing a connection between the monitoring device and the service server using at least one of the one or more addresses received from the control server.

Methods and techniques for configuring a monitoring device to communicate with a service server. The method includes sending, by the monitoring device to a control server, an initial connection message, authenticating, by the control server, the monitoring device using the initial connection message, in response to authenticating the monitoring device, sending, by the control server, a list of one or more addresses to the monitoring device, and establishing, by the monitoring device, a service connection between the monitoring device and a service server using the list of one or more addresses received from the control server.

A method according to the invention for connecting a monitoring device to a service server may comprise retrieving an address relating to a control server from a memory of the monitoring device, sending a connection message from the monitoring device to the address relating to a control server in response to a connecting event, extracting, at the control server, an identifier from the communication between the monitoring device and the control server, identifying, at the control server, a service server associated with the extracted identifier, sending an address relating to the identified service server from the control server to the monitoring device, sending a connection message from the monitoring device to the identified service server in response to the receipt of the address related to the identified service server, establishing a service connection between the monitoring device and the identified server.

A method for audio calibration of an audio device is provided. The method comprises: registering, by a microphone, a representation of an audio signal; processing, by a data processing unit, the registered representation of the audio signal into feedback image data; displaying on a display, the feedback image data; capturing, by a camera, the feedback image data displayed on the display; altering a setting affecting audio of the audio device based on the feedback image data captured by the camera. Described is a method for registering and executing instructions in a video capturing device and to a door station. The method comprises receiving at a video capturing device a signal(s) representing a first input made using an authorized device, generating a graphical representation of the received signal(s), superimposing the graphical representation onto video captured by the video capturing device and streamed to the authorized device, receiving at the video capturing device, after the signal(s) representing an input made at the authorized device have been received and graphical representations have been generated and superimposed onto video captured by the video capturing device and streamed to the authorized device, a concluding signal representing a concluding input made using the authorized device, translating, in response to said concluding input, the received signal(s) into an instruction executable by the image capturing device, and executing the instruction resulting from the translation of the signal(s).

Method and system for controlling a device

A method and apparatus for controlling access from a first area to a second area includes receiving an identity signal from an identifier input device, and checking for stored data indicating that the identity represented by the identity signal is registered as present in the first area. If a predetermined access requirement is fulfilled, then a pass signal at the first access controller is generated. To control access from the second area to a third area, an enter message is sent to a second controller with at least the identity and data indicating that the identity is present in an access area of the second controller. An exit message is sent to a third controller controlling access to the first area, including at least the identity and data indicating that the identity is not present in an access area of the third controller.

Apparatus and method for access control

A method for connecting a storage device to an information generating device includes transferring an identifying message from the storage device to a control server via a computer network. The identifying message includes a unique identifier uniquely identifying the storage device, matching a registered information generating system to the unique identifier, and identifying at least one information generating device included in the matched information generating system. A configuration message is transferred from the control server to the storage device, and the configuration message includes an address to the identified at least one information generating device and instructions of interaction. The instructions of interaction are arranged to define how the transfer of generated information is to be performed.

The invention relates to an electronic device and a method for updating firmware in a number of electronic devices connected to a data network. First, a firmware in a first electronic device of said plurality of electronic devices is configured. Then, a firmware update file is generated in said first electronic device, based upon said configured firmware by using a firmware update file generator. Next, the firmware update file is transmitted from the first electronic device to a number of electronic devices via a data network. Finally, the firmware is updated in the number of electronic devices by executing said firmware update file in each of the electronic devices.
