Method of dissolving/mixing of a concentrate in/with a fluid in a multi-chamber bag and a method for the production of a medical fluid, in particular a dialysis fluid, in a multi-chamber bag. Moreover, the multi-chamber bag itself is disclosed. In all embodiments, at least two different concentrates can be included separately in powder form, liquid form or semi-liquid slurry form for dissolution in a fluid in the multi-chamber bag. In addition, the use of the multi-chamber bag in haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis or a haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis device, in particular as a container for a dialysis fluid in a haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis device, is described.

Multi-chamber bag

An apparatus for the reeling up of fiber bundles, in particular of hollow fiber membrane bundles, and in particular for the manufacture of dialysis filters, includes a reel carrier rotatable around a main axis. The apparatus includes at least two reels which are rotatably supported on the reel carrier, with the axes of rotation of the reels being perpendicular to the main axis of the reel carrier. The apparatus can be used for the wrapping of a fiber bundle with a film, having a receiver of first and second side elements and a flexible channel fastened between them for the reception of the film and the fiber bundle. A drive is provided to move at least the first side element transversely to the channel, and at least one folding device movable transversely to the flexible channel for the folding of the film around the fiber bundle.

A medical treatment apparatus, and in particular an extra-corporeal blood treatment apparatus, has a socket unit for the connection of a plug unit belonging to a device for supplying a medical fluid for the medical treatment apparatus. A filling apparatus for filling a device for supplying a medical fluid has a socket unit for the connection of a plug unit of the device for supplying a medical fluid. The device has a plug unit having means for indicating two states of operation, while the socket unit of the treatment apparatus has means for destroying the means for indicating two states of operation. When the plug unit is connected to the socket unit, the means for indicating two states of operation are destroyed, to rule out the possibility of the device being re-used. Re-use of the device is ruled out by the fact that the device cannot be re-filled with fluid.

A multilayer film for medical purposes is proposed, with one or two external layers, wherein the external layers contain: a first polyalphaolefin; a first thermoplastic elastomer with a melt viscosity of a melt flow index according to ISO 1133 of from 0.001 to 6 g/10 min at 230&#xb0; C., 2.16 kg; and a second thermoplastic elastomer with a high melt viscosity not measurable according to ISO 1133 which is higher than the melt viscosity of the first thermoplastic elastomer.

A bag for receiving, preparing, and producing dialysis fluid has a sealing bordering line and a flexurally rigid hard plastic part connected to the film material. The hard plastic part is connected to the film material separately from the sealing bordering line and offers an area for gripping the bag for fastening it without having to act mechanically on the sealing bordering line in a direct manner.

A medical apparatus includes a socket unit for connecting a plug unit of a device for supplying medical fluids, in which the medical apparatus is in particular an extracorporeal blood treatment apparatus, for example an extracorporeal dialysis apparatus or an apparatus for peritoneal dialysis, or an apparatus for filling the device for supplying medical fluids. The socket unit comprises connection pieces for the connection of connectors of a plug unit, so that a flow connection can be produced for supplying or discharging a fluid. The connection pieces are surrounded by connection parts thereby forming rinsing chambers, in which the rinsing chambers are closed by closure pieces, said closure pieces being part of a closure body which is disposed rotatably on the socket unit.
