A pressure trip unit for an electrical switch, including an actuating element and at least one flow channel per electrical pole, is disclosed. In an embodiment, the at least one pole of the electrical switch includes at least two switching contacts for making or disconnecting a flow path. The switching contacts of the at least one pole of the electrical switch are disconnectable via the actuating element which can respond to a pressure generated in a disconnection zone of the, in each case, two switching contacts by an electric arc drawn in the event of an electrodynamic recoil of the switching contacts. Further, the disconnection zone is connectable to the actuating element via the flow channel, the at least one flow channel including a nonreturn valve to permit a flow only from the disconnection zone in the direction of the actuating element.

A multipole electrical switching device is disclosed with an outer housing in which at least two separate switching pole housings are accommodated. In at least one embodiment, the at least two separate switching pole housings on walls facing towards one another, each have a least one mounting which form a mounting pair assigned to one another. In at least one embodiment, for mechanical connection of the at least two separate switching pole housings, the mounting pair is assigned at least one connection device which engages into the two mountings forming the mounting pair. The two mountings forming the mounting pair, in relation to a dividing joint formed between the two facing walls, each form an undercut, whereby the at least one connecting device engages behind the undercuts and the at least one connecting device is formed in a primary process in one piece on the outer housing.

A hinge construction is for connecting two components. The hinge construction includes a first securing part which can be fixed on a first of the two components, a second securing part which can be fixed on the second component, and a hinge part. The hinge construction further includes a first coupling device for the rotatable coupling of the first securing part to the hinge part, and a second coupling device for the pivotable coupling of the hinge part to the second securing part. The second coupling device, in order to set a distance between the two components, includes two corresponding, curved coupling surfaces, which run parallel to the pivot axis and of which a first is provided on the hinge part and the second is provided on the second securing part.

A power circuit breaker is intended to be effectively locked in a simple manner in a withdrawable-part rack. For this purpose, a locking device is provided having a first component, which is fixed in the withdrawable-part rack, and a second component, which is fixed to the power circuit breaker. The first component and the second component do not engage with one another in the inserted position. However, in the event of a short circuit they engage with one another in a tilted position of the power circuit breaker, which position is rotated with respect to the inserted position, with the result that the power circuit breaker is locked in the withdrawable-part rack.

A latching mechanism is for locking an actuating shaft of an electrical switch, which can be transferred from an OFF position into an ON position by a drive train counter to the force of at least one first spring, in its ON position. The latching mechanism includes a first lever, which is pivotably coupled to the drive train of the actuating shaft and is supported against a stop held in a locking position. For accelerated release of the actuating shaft, also provided is a second lever, which has a working surface assigned to the stop. In this case, the second lever is held in a first stop position against the first lever by way of a second spring. When the second lever pivots under the action of an initiating force, which opposes the force of the second spring, the working surface acts in such a way on the stop that the stop is transferred into a release position. In order to release the actuating shaft more quickly, the forces of the two springs act independently of one another on the first lever, so that a mechanism which provides the initiating force can be formed independently of the drive train.

A power circuit breaker includes a switching pole enclosure for accommodating at least one switching pole, whose switching contacts, when closed, rest against one another on a predetermined contact plane. It further includes a switching shaft for transferring drive forces to the at least one switching pole. The switching pole enclosure includes a first and a second enclosure shell, which rest against one another along a separating joint running essentially parallel to the contact plane, and in which the switching shaft is mounted by use of at least two switching shaft mounts held on the first enclosure shell. At least one first and one second fastening device, each serving the purpose of connecting the two enclosure shells, is in each case supported on the one hand on the second enclosure shell and on the other hand on one of the switching shaft mounts.

Power circuit breaker

An electrical switch includes a switching contact arrangement, an interchangeable release block and a locking element. A first operating surface is formed on the locking element, which can be moved from a locked position to an unlocked position. The first operating surface allows the release block to be secured from being removed from the switch, when the locking element is in its locked position.
