The present invention relates to a contact assembly for a relay for switching high load currents having at least one switch contact and a braid having at least one braid end, which are electrically conductively connected to each other by a connection element. Further, the invention relates to a relay for switching high load currents with a contact assembly. Finally, the invention relates to a method for mounting a relay for switching high load currents. For the simple, electrically conductive connection of the braid and the switch contact without the contact assembly produced requiring much space within the relay, it is provided in accordance with the invention that the connection element is equipped with a contact portion directly connected to the switch contact and with a connection strap connected to the braid end, wherein the connection strap is inclined relative to the contact portion.

The present invention relates to a contact arrangement for a relay for switching high load currents. Furthermore, the invention relates to a relay for switching high load currents having a contact arrangement. Finally, the invention relates to a method for assembling a relay. In order to be able to assemble the contact arrangement in the relay in an at least partially automated manner, without additional retention devices being required for a cord, there is provision according to theinvention for the cord to be retained in an inherently stable manner owning to its shape as a self-supporting structure and for the method to have a method step in which the cord is shaped to form a self-supporting structure with a bent shape.

The invention provides a coil former for an electromechanical actuator with a U-shaped yoke, having a base arranged between two limbs and forming a coil core. The coil former comprises a bobbin holder having an opening therein to receive the base portion of the yoke, and delimiting elements flanking the bobbin holder. At least a portion of the coil former is resiliently deformable to connect the coil former onto the base.

A relay and a process for producing a relay are described, three contact pins being provided for the relay. The three contact pins are preferably manufactured from a stamping and are fixed together as a contact stamping with respect to a yoke through insertion into a base. As a result of the use of a contact stamping with the three contact pins connected rigidly to one another, adjustment and handling of the three contact pins during production of the relay is relatively simple.

The invention relates to a bi-stable electric switch comprising a spring () that is configured as a bi-stable snap-action spring and carries contact elements () on the carrier strip () of the spring and comprising at least one drive element made from shape memory material per switch state for actuating the spring, the spring having a plate () that is rigidly fixed at one end () and that is subjected to a pressure in the direction of its linear extension and evades this by bulging towards one side into one of two stable final states, the regions of the spring in the stable final states taking up different lateral positions and the drive elements () acting upon the free end of the plate and as a result of the tilting of free end () cause it to snap into the second stable final state.
