Method for increasing the load-bearing capacity, and rolling device for hard rolling a surface-hardened rolling-bearing raceway

A method for increasing load capacity of a surface-hardened rolling bearing raceway of a rolling bearing ring element may involve providing a rolling bearing ring element with an unhardened core region and, at least in certain portions, an outer layer hardened to a surface hardening depth. A rolling bearing raceway may be formed in a region of the hardened outer layer. The method may further involve hard rolling the rolling bearing raceway with a roll. The diameter of the roll is 8 to 25 times the surface hardening depth. A surface pressure prevailing in a rolling contact between the roll and the rolling bearing raceway during the hard rolling is between 2000 MPa and 3300 MPa. The method further involves machining the rolling bearing raceway after the hard rolling.

A rolling element for use in a rolling-element bearing is proposed, including an outer casing and a bore hole. The bore hole is provided along a center line of the rolling element. The rolling element has at least one sensor arranged in the bore hole for load measurement and a radio module for transmitting the data measured by the sensor, wherein the rolling element has a micro-generator to provide the energy required for operation of the sensor and/or of the radio module.

Rolling element for use in a rolling-element bearing

A bearing or rolling bearing may comprise a stationary first bearing ring and a second bearing ring that is arranged in a rotatable manner about a longitudinal axis relative to the first bearing ring. The bearing may have a first sensor and a second sensor, which are contactless measuring sensors. The first sensor and the second sensor may each have a sensor surface. The first sensor may be positioned opposite an at least partly circumferential reference edge, and the second sensor may be positioned opposite a reference surface. The first sensor can measure a degree of overlap between the sensor surface of the first sensor and the reference edge. The second sensor can measure a distance, in particular a radial distance, between the sensor surface of the second sensor and the reference surface.

Bearing and method for monitoring wear and/or measuring a load

The invention relates to a process for producing a rolling bearing cage, in particular for large rolling bearings, wherein a steel strip with openings for in each case one rolling body is provided and bent to form a ring, wherein, for thermal coating with a thermoplastic powder, the ring is then heated to a temperature above a minimum coating temperature, wherein the ring is then dipped into a fluidized bed comprising the thermoplastic powder, wherein, during the residence time of the ring in the fluidized bed, plastic powder adheres to the ring, melts and forms a continuous coating, and wherein the ring is removed from the fluidized bed after the coating. The invention also relates to an apparatus for carrying out the process.

Process for producing a rolling bearing cage, in particular for large rolling bearings, and apparatus for carrying out the process

Disclosed is an axial-radial rolling bearing having an inner ring, an outer ring disposed around the inner ring, and a plurality of rolling bodies in the form of rollers arranged into at least one row disposed between and separating the inner ring and the outer ring. The rolling bearing further includes at least one rolling bearing cage disposed around at least part of the rollers and configured to maintain a predetermined spacing of each of the rollers from each adjacent roller in the at least one row, wherein the rolling bearing cage comprises a plastic coated main body that is at least one of ring-shaped or segmented. The main body has openings for receiving the respective rolling elements.

Axial-radial rolling bearing

The invention relates to a method for producing a rolling bearing cage for a rolling bearing comprising at least one row of rolling elements. In the method according to the invention, a ring or a ring element made of a metallic solid material is provided and shaped by a forming process and/or a cutting, material-removing process into an annular or segmented main body of the rolling bearing cage. The main body has openings for receiving a respective rolling element, the main body being heated to a temperature above a minimum coating temperature for thermal coating with a thermoplastic material powder, wherein the main body is then immersed in a fluidized bed containing the thermoplastic material powder, wherein thermoplastic material powder adheres to the main body, melts and forms a contiguous coating while the main body is present in the fluidized bed, and wherein, after the coating, the main body is removed from the fluidized bed. The invention further relates to an axial-radial rolling bearing with the described rolling bearing cage.

Method for producing a rolling bearing cage for an axial-radial rolling bearing and axial-radial rolling bearing

A method is provided for producing a bearing ring () for large-size rolling bearings including at least one track () that is provided with a hardened peripheral layer. With the method the peripheral layer that is to be hardened is exposed to the electric field of an inductor in order to be heated and is then quenched. At least two inductors () are disposed above a common zone (a) of the annular track () that is to be hardened at the beginning of the hardening process. These inductors () heat the opposite peripheral layer to a hardening temperature at this location. The inductors () are moved in the opposite direction along the annular track in order to heat the adjacent central zones (b). Sprinklers () that are directed onto the heated peripheral layers are turned on following a short distance, and the peripheral layers are quenched starting from the center of the zone (a) that was heated at the beginning. The inductors () and the sprinklers () continue to be moved on the halves of the rings thereof until coinciding again in a zone (c) located opposite the point of departure and once again forming a joint heating zone there. Both inductors () are lifted perpendicular to the surface of the track () upon reaching the required hardening temperature. The sprinklers () are directed onto zone (c).
