An electric circuit for triggering a piezoelectric element, in particular of a fuel injection system of a motor vehicle. Two transistors connected in series and triggerable using a clock pulse are provided, whose shared connecting point is coupled to the piezoelectric element and one of which is provided for discharging the piezoelectric element. In the event of an error, the transistor provided for discharging can be triggered using the clock pulse.

An electric circuit for triggering a piezoelectric element, a fuel injection system of a motor vehicle in particular, is described. A first measuring shunt connected in series to the piezoelectric element is provided. Provided are two transistors connected in series whose shared connecting point is connected to the piezoelectric element. A second measuring shunt is also provided. The two transistors and the second measuring shunt are connected in series.

In a control circuit for at least one actuator, in particular for a capacitive actuator of an injection system of an internal combustion engine, a control current can be applied to the actuator. The control circuit has an inductor, e.g., having a core and having multiple windings, the windings being designed and connected to the control circuit such that a control current flowing into the actuator and a control current flowing out of the actuator each flow through different windings of the inductor, and a magnetic flux induced in the inductor or its core by the control current flowing into the actuator and a magnetic flux induced in the inductor or its core by the control current flowing out of the actuator mutually compensate one another.

A method and a device for charging and discharging a piezoelectric element. Both the charging and the discharging taking place, at least partially, via an element having an inductive effect on the charge and on the discharge current. The charge current and the discharge current, at least partially, are conducted via the same element having an inductive effect. It is therefore possible in a simple manner to carry out efficient charging and discharging of piezoelectric elements even in cramped conditions.
